Nikolai took advantage of Adrian's distraction and pulled out his gun in an instant.
He pulled the trigger, but Adrian's reflex was fast.
He grabbed Nikolai's wrist and changed the angle of the gun, making the bullet fire into the air.
"I am not easy to take down, motherfucker," Adrian snarled.
He shoved the gun into Nikolai's mouth, keeping his finger firmly on the trigger.
Time seemed to stop at that moment.
But suddenly, Adrian felt powder thrown into his eyes.
His eyes immediately started to burn, making him unable to see.
Nikolai smirked and shoved Adrian roughly onto the floor, making him groan.
"You son of a bitch… don't run away like a coward. Fight me like a real man instead of using these shitty tricks," Adrian cursed loudly while still sitting on the floor.
Nikolai ran outside the FBO, his steps still unsteady because of Adrian's strikes.
Alex rushed toward Adrian immediately and supported him, pulling him up from the floor.
Everything had happened so fast that Alex didn't get time to react.
He had been busy checking the CCTV footage after hearing about Elena's escape when all this happened.
"Boss, come on. You need to go to the doctor. We can think about everything else later," Alex said.
He took Adrian outside the FBO where their cars were waiting.
The men immediately came forward to support Adrian and hold him securely.
"No… I need to find Elena right now. I want her back…" Adrian kept shouting.
His men stayed silent, not knowing what to say.
But Alex spoke again, his voice low and calm.
"Boss, first you need to get well. Then we will find her. Wherever you say, we will go."
Adrian slowly stopped struggling.
His eyes were still closed, unable to see.
And the realization settled in that if he didn't get treatment now, he wouldn't be able to find Elena anytime soon.
"In my personal hospital. Now."
His tone was cold and commanding.
The men guided him carefully into the car.
Alex sat beside Adrian.
He didn't say anything, just gave him silent support.
Because Alex knew very well—if he told Adrian that he had found Elena's footage from the FBO CCTV cameras, Adrian would become even more reckless.
So for now, Alex kept it hidden.
Adrian's voice came out low as he spoke, "Alex, I don't have much time in my hands. If the doctors say some bullshit, then just blow their heads off. I don't have that luxury to waste my time on a useless hospital bed."
Alex stayed silent, not knowing how to deal with Adrian's order.
Because Adrian had lost his eyesight temporarily, and it would definitely take time to recover.
But God knows who would deal with his anger and stubbornness.
