Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Power of Wolf Kings Pressure, mission Completed

Deep in the dark forest.

Gekko was cut into scattered fragments by layers of branches and leaves, dappled across the damp ground.

Beneath two ancient trees that would take three people to encircle, five gray wolves were buried in eating a young deer that had long since lost its breath.

Deer blood stained the withered leaves on the ground red, and the air was filled with a thick smell of blood mixed with the musky scent of wild beasts.

The leading wolf was the most robust, with a shoulder height of seventy centimeters. A grayish-white mane extended from its neck to its back. At this moment, it was pressing its front claws against the deer's belly, tearing off a piece of bloody meat, and letting out a satisfied whimper from its throat.

The other four wolves were stationed on both sides, their ears twitching alertly, but their mouths never stopped swallowing into their bellies.

Occasionally, a wolf would lift its head, lick the blood from the corner of its mouth, its amber eyes flashing with a faint light in the darkness, before lowering its head again.

They didn't notice that in the distance, a gray shadow was silently approaching.

Yang Jiu poked half a head out from behind a clump of bushes, his wolf eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze locking onto the five figures gorging themselves.

"Exactly five, enough to complete the mission."

"Just in time to try out the talent, Wolf Kings Pressure!"

Yang Jiu licked his lips.

He walked out.

"Awoo~"

One of the wolves spotted him, stopped immediately, and let out a low warning growl at him.

The other wolves also stopped eating one after another, staring intently at this lone wolf.

But as Yang Jiu approached, an inexplicable pressure enveloped the five wolves.

"Whimper~"

The low growls in the five wolves' throats turned into fearful whimpers. Their limbs went weak uncontrollably, and with a thud, they prostrated themselves on the ground, heads bowed, not daring to look up again.

"Whimper..."

"Whimper, whimper..."

Low howls of fear rose and fell. Four wolves fell to the ground one after another, their bodies pressed against the cold mud, tails tucked tightly between their legs, their whole bodies trembling.

But that alpha wolf was still struggling.

Its limbs were trembling, its muscles tensed until the veins bulged, desperately trying to maintain its standing posture.

Its amber eyes were full of anger and unwillingness, staring fixedly at Yang Jiu, a low roar rolling deep in its throat.

"Wolf Kings Pressure is indeed useful."

Yang Jiu came before the alpha wolf in pleasant surprise, looking down at the unyielding alpha wolf with a grin.

Then, he raised a paw that was almost twice as thick as the alpha wolf's and struck out fiercely.

The alpha wolf's body flew out sideways.

"Bang!"

It slammed heavily into an ancient tree several meters away. The trunk shook violently, shaking off a few withered leaves. The alpha wolf slid down the tree trunk and collapsed at the roots, letting out a series of painful whimpers from its mouth.

"Whimper... whimper..."

This time, it didn't struggle anymore.

In those amber eyes, the anger and unwillingness finally faded away completely, leaving only fear and submission.

It prostrated on the ground, its head pressed tightly against the mud, its whole body trembling incessantly, its tail tucked tightly under its belly, not daring to lift it even a bit.

The other four wolves lay even lower, almost trying to bury themselves in the dirt.

Yang Jiu withdrew his front paw and stood in place, looking down at these five prostrate figures.

Gekko spilled through the gaps in the branches, plating a faint silver edge on his gray fur.

"From now on—"

He spoke slowly, his voice not loud, but clearly reaching the ears of every wolf.

"You are members of my Wolf Clan."

The five wolves trembled in unison.

The alpha wolf reacted first. It struggled to lift its head, took a look at Yang Jiu, then quickly lowered it again, letting out a low whimper from its throat—a response of submission.

The other four wolves followed suit, making the same sound.

Yang Jiu narrowed his wolf eyes and nodded with satisfaction.

In his mind, the system's prompt sounded on time—

[mission Completed: Beginning of the Wolf Clan]

"It was completed so easily, not bad, not bad!"

A smile appeared on Yang Jiu's face.

Then he opened the system panel.

[strongest wolf clan system]

Race: Wolf Clan

Racial Talent: Wind Body

Racial Ninjutsu: Storm Blade

Racial Points: 100

[individual wolf panel] [mission] [warehouse] [mall]

Racial Ninjutsu: Storm Blade—Can condense a violent Chakra wind blade in the mouth, causing powerful damage to the enemy that needs to be attacked.

"This reward is really not bad!"

Yang Jiu was pleasantly surprised.

Although the Wind Body talent didn't have any practical improvement for now, it would definitely be of great help later.

Then he turned his gaze to the Ninjutsu, and his eyes lit up.

Seal-less Ninjutsu!

In the world of Naruto, Ninjutsu that can be activated without using hand seals are rare items.

But he wondered how powerful it was?

He wanted to try it, but unfortunately, he didn't have any Chakra now, so he couldn't use it even if he wanted to.

[Latest mission Released: Strengthen the Wolf Clan—For every additional member of the wolf clan, a reward can be obtained]

[mission Reward: 50 Experience, 50 Points, 1 portion of Chakra]

[Latest mission Released: City of the Wolf Clan—Possess your own territory]

[mission Reward: 100 Experience, 100 Points, Building - wolf den, Building - life spring eye]

"missions have arrived, and two at once."

"One is even a long-term mission?"

Yang Jiu's eyes lit up.

It's good to have missions. missions mean rewards, so he wouldn't have to work too hard on cultivation.

Who would want to lie flat if they could just be a beast of burden?

"One to collect a wolf pack, one to find a territory, they can just happen together!"

Anyway, he couldn't go back to that small cave anymore; he had to find a larger territory.

After all, he was now the Patriarch of a clan.

"Hey you, come here!"

He looked at the alpha wolf and called out.

"Bo... Boss, are you calling me?" The alpha wolf looked left and right, then let out a low whimper, unsure.

"It's you." Yang Jiu nodded.

The alpha wolf stumbled to him and lowered its head, looking a bit nervous.

"What's your name?" Yang Jiu asked.

"Boss, my name is Great Remnant." The alpha wolf responded with a low roar, its voice seemingly carrying a hint of pride.

"Pfft~"

"What did you say your name was?"

Yang Jiu laughed out loud.

Great Remnant, the alpha wolf, lifted its head and replied with a face full of pride: "Boss, my name is Great Remnant. My name is very famous in this forest, many animals are afraid when they hear it!!!"

"Fine, fine, fine, you'll be called Great Remnant from now on."

Yang Jiu nodded with a smile, not saying anything about changing the name.

"From now on, you call me Patriarch, don't call me Boss, understood?"

"Yes, Patriarch!"

Great Remnant and the other four gray wolves quickly responded.

Perhaps because they had all gained intelligence, their current IQ was no worse than a human's.

Yang Jiu nodded with satisfaction.

"Great Remnant, do you know where there are more wolf packs?"

"Patriarch, we still have wives and children at home, do they count?"

Great Remnant said.

"Of course they count, let's go, lead the way!"
