Chapter 1 - 1. ARRIVAL WITH EMPTY POCKET

The sun was merciless.

Tobi stepped down from the rusty bus, his small bag hanging loosely on his shoulder. Ahead of him stood the university gate—tall, bright, and already peeling, like a promise that had seen better days.

"Welcome to your future," he muttered.

Future?

He almost laughed.

Behind him, Zain jumped down from the bus, stretching like he already owned the campus.

"Guy, this school go hear our name," Zain said with a wide grin.

Tobi glanced at him and smirked.

"First, make this school see our school fees."

They both laughed—but there was no real humor in it.

Minutes later, Kenny appeared, dragging a box that looked heavier than his entire existence.

"Omo, I don suffer reach here o," he complained. "If money no enter my hand this semester, I swear I go join cult."

"Idiot," Tobi replied dryly. "You no get liver."

"Liver no dey buy food," Kenny shot back.

They made their way into the hostel.

Noise hit them instantly.

Music blasted from different directions. People shouted, laughed, argued. Doors slammed. Life was happening everywhere—all at once.

Different people.

Same struggle.

That night, the three of them sat on the cold, bare floor of their room.

No fan.

No food.

No plan.

Just silence… and hunger.

Zain finally broke it.

"We can't be broke in this school. Not me."

Tobi looked up at him. "So, what do you suggest?"

Zain leaned forward, his eyes sharp, serious now.

"We hustle."

Kenny raised an eyebrow.

"Legal or illegal?"

Zain smirked.

"Money no dey ask question."

Silence filled the room again.

Then, slowly, Tobi smiled.

"Alright," he said.

"But we do it smart."

Kenny clapped his hands once, excitement lighting up his face.

"Na so story dey start."Three broke students enter university with one goal—never be poor again.

But when their hustle turns into a dangerous game of money, power, and betrayal, they must decide how far they're willing to go… before everything falls apart.

That night, three broke boys made a decision.

A decision that would drag them into a world of money, risk, power… and consequences.

And none of them were ready for what was coming.
