Ryūjin nodded slightly.
The technique left behind by Sasori of the Red Sand could open a World Passage regardless of circumstances. It was only natural that Orochimaru could not fully comprehend something so profound in such a short time.
However, Ryūjin did not have the luxury of waiting for slow research and gradual breakthroughs.
After a brief moment of thought, he spoke, "Orochimaru, didn't you use Edo Tensei on the Second Hokage before? Bring him back again."
Orochimaru was undoubtedly a top-tier scientist, but when it came to the creation and analysis of advanced jutsu, he still fell short compared to Senju Tobirama.
"It seems Lord Ryūjin lacks patience," Orochimaru said with a faint grin, his tongue brushing against his lips. "Very well, we will trouble the Second Hokage once more."
After Senju Tobirama was resurrected, Ryūjin did not use Kotoamatsukami. Instead, he relied on his Sharingan to directly convey all relevant information.
Although Tobirama still held his usual distrust toward the Uchiha, the threat of the Ōtsutsuki Clan outweighed old prejudice. He chose to cooperate.
Soon, Tobirama and Orochimaru began studying and refining the technique Sasori had left behind.
Under the authority of the Hokage, Ryūjin mobilized not just Konoha, but resources from across the entire Ninja World. Whatever Tobirama and Orochimaru required, Ryūjin provided without hesitation.
Their progress was swift and substantial.
Two months later, Orochimaru appeared before Ryūjin, unable to conceal his excitement.
"Lord Ryūjin, it is astonishing. Beyond our planet, there are numerous other Living Planets in existence."
Ryūjin's eyes sharpened. "Aside from the one you called the Shinigami planet, you've found others?"
"That is correct," Tobirama answered, stepping forward. "Over the past two months, we have nearly unraveled the principles behind this technique."
"This method is not limited to a single target. It can lock onto any Living Planet. The scroll we studied earlier was incomplete."
"I suspect the technique was originally designed to locate such planets. As for how it ended up in the Ninja World, that remains unclear."
"We have already identified several targets."
Tobirama glanced at Orochimaru, who immediately began preparing the necessary sequence.
Soon, a passage formed.
Within its lens-like surface, a grim, impoverished district appeared. The streets were crowded, chaotic, and filthy.
"That is the world you previously named the Shinigami planet," Orochimaru explained.
He adjusted the technique again.
The scene shifted.
An endless ocean came into view. A massive ship cut through the waves, its sail marked by a striking skull emblem.
Ryūjin stared for a moment.
A pirate ship.
"So this is the Pirate world," he muttered.
"Orochimaru, show me more."
The lens shifted repeatedly as Orochimaru navigated through different locations. After careful observation, Ryūjin confirmed it.
This was indeed the world of pirates.
"Any others?" he asked, impatience creeping into his tone.
"We have located two more," Orochimaru replied, continuing his work.
The images changed again.
Ryūjin quickly recognized them.
One belonged to the world of JoJo.
The other was the world of Conan.
"So the world I arrived in is made up of countless separate anime worlds, each existing on its own planet," Ryūjin said quietly.
It was an unexpected but intriguing possibility.
He turned serious. "Can this passage carry living beings yet?"
"Not at present," Tobirama replied. "This is not a conventional space-time passage. It is formed from a special type of energy we do not yet understand."
"We have tested it repeatedly. Any living body attempting to pass through is subjected to an overwhelming energy surge and is instantly annihilated."
"What if the body is strong enough?" Ryūjin asked.
"In theory, sufficient strength could allow survival," Tobirama admitted. "However, this energy exceeds the limits of the current Ninja World. No one here could withstand it."
"Even Hashirama would be reduced to dust."
Ryūjin gave a faint, dismissive snort. "Just because he can't doesn't mean I can't."
He clapped his hands and created a Wood Clone.
"Step back."
Orochimaru and Tobirama did as instructed.
Ryūjin directed the clone forward using the Body Flicker Technique.
The moment it entered the passage, the energy twisted violently.
The clone was instantly reduced to dust.
Ryūjin frowned.
He attempted Kamui and Yomotsu Hirasaka, but neither worked. As Tobirama had said, this was not a spatial passage. There was nothing to lock onto.
Shortcuts would not help.
He left the laboratory in silence.
Time passed.
Half a year later, Tobirama finally spoke with visible frustration.
"Ryūjin, this technique is beyond our system. We have done everything possible. We managed to reduce the energy surge by thirty percent, but we cannot go further."
Ryūjin considered this, then said, "Thirty percent might be enough."
"It isn't," Tobirama replied firmly. "That power is still overwhelming."
"Let's test it anyway."
The passage was reopened.
Another Wood Clone was sent through.
It was destroyed instantly.
Kaguya, observing from the side, spoke quietly, "That power is extreme."
Ryūjin remained silent for a moment.
Then he said, "There is one more way."
He created another Wood Clone.
This time, he formed a protective layer around it using Truth Seeking Orbs, shaping them into a complete covering.
Kaguya's eyes sharpened slightly.
That might work.
The energy within the passage was not natural energy. Truth Seeking Orbs should resist it.
Ryūjin exhaled and sent the clone forward once more.
The passage twisted violently again.
But this time, the result changed.
The clone was not destroyed.
The Truth Seeking Orbs compressed under immense pressure, but they held.
The clone passed through.
"It worked."
Tobirama, Orochimaru, and Kaguya all reacted at once.
Ryūjin, however, narrowed his eyes.
Through the clone, he could feel the strain. The pressure was immense, far beyond anything any shinobi could endure.
Even Hashirama would not survive it.
But at the Six Paths level, it was manageable.
That was enough.
He began making preparations immediately.
---
Inside the Uchiha Clan compound, Fugaku knelt respectfully before him.
"I will be leaving this planet soon," Ryūjin said plainly.
Fugaku's expression shifted. "You've found a way?"
"Yes."
"If anything arises that you cannot handle, consult Kaguya. As for everything else, use your judgment."
"Understood, Lord Ryūjin."
Ryūjin gave no further instructions.
He only bid farewell to a few people, his parents, Might Guy, and Kurenai Yuhi.
---
At a barbecue restaurant, the mood was unusually heavy.
Might Guy sat in silence.
Kurenai's eyes were red, tears barely held back.
Ryūjin let out a quiet scoff. "Why do you look like I'm dead? I'm just going to another planet."
Neither of them laughed.
They understood the risks.
Might Guy clenched his fists. "Damn it… I can't help at all."
"Kurenai, say something useful instead of crying," Ryūjin said, though his tone softened slightly.
"Be careful," she said quietly.
"I will."
He leaned back in his seat.
"The place I'm going isn't dangerous."
The Pirate world posed no real threat to him.
The Yonko, the Admirals, none of them mattered.
Only unknown figures like the Gorosei or Imu were worth any attention.
"And besides," Ryūjin continued, "my Chibaku Tensei space is linked to Kaguya's. I can return whenever I want."
That was the final reassurance.
Even across worlds, he was not truly cut off.
