On her way down from the building, Erin heard something collapse from far away. Looking through the shattered windows, she saw a giant bat beast fly far away in the sky. Thankfully, it was flying away from her.

It was likely that the deathbat is what caused the sound. It wasn't unheard of for beasts to attack other beasts if they approached their territory, so she didn't want to head towards that direction. Judging by her skills and stats right now, she couldn't take on an advanced tier beast without major risk to her life.
