Chapter 45 - You're Making Me Sound Like Some Saint

"Oh... Aunt Sophie, are you telling me not to see you anymore? I thought you wanted more of me?" Shawn teased her, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "Besides, you're divorced, and you have nothing to lose."

"Hey! Don't twist my words. I didn't say we shouldn't meet again. I just said we shouldn't do anything that could hurt her. As long as we keep this between us, it should be fine." Sophie pouted, pinching his side lightly in response.

But then her expression softened. "And I'm serious about not wanting to hurt your girlfriend. I know how it feels, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Even though... I'm not going to lie, being with you feels so right that I don't want to stop. So... I'm conflicted."

Shawn could see the sincerity in her eyes. It made him respect her even more. He leaned down to kiss her forehead, a small smile playing on his lips. "You're a good woman, Aunt Sophie. A woman who deserves happiness and love. And I promise, I'll do everything I can to give you that, without hurting Gwen in the process."

"You're making me sound like some saint," Sophie said with a light chuckle, but her eyes were bright with emotion. "But thank you, Shawn. I just don't want to complicate things."

"Don't worry. I have it all figured out." Shawn winked at her, then pulled her closer for a proper kiss on her lips. This kiss was gentle and full of affection, different from the passionate ones they had shared earlier.

When they pulled apart, Sophie rested her head on his chest again, listening to his heartbeat. The comfortable silence between them spoke volumes about their connection, something that had started as just a fling but was slowly evolving into something more meaningful.

As she lay there, feeling his hand lazily tracing patterns on her back and her ass, Sophie realized something important. For the first time since her divorce, she felt truly content. The loneliness that had plagued her for so long had vanished, replaced by warmth and happiness.

She had no idea where this relationship with Shawn would lead, but she was excited to find out. She felt young again, ready to embrace life and all its surprises. And maybe, just maybe, she had found someone who could be more than just a secret lover.

But that was a thought for another day.

Tonight, she was just happy to be lying in the arms of a man who had given her pleasure and made her feel alive again. And that was more than enough.

Shawn woke up the next morning feeling surprisingly refreshed. The events of the previous night were still fresh in his mind, and a satisfied grin spread across his face as he looked at the sleeping beauty next to him.

Sophie was lying on her stomach, the blanket barely covering her bare ass, her hair a mess of black strands splayed across the pillow. She looked so peaceful and vulnerable, a stark contrast to the wild woman she had been last night.

He reached over and gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face, admiring her soft features. The urge to lean down and kiss her was strong, but he resisted, not wanting to disturb her sleep.

Instead, he carefully slipped out of bed, making sure not to wake her. He tiptoed out of her bedroom, found his clothes in the living room, and quickly got dressed.

Once done, Shawn took a deep breath, his mind racing. He had just had sex with his neighbor, who was also the mother of one of his close childhood friends. The reality of it was wild, and a part of him still couldn't believe it had happened.

But as he thought about it more, he felt a sense of pride and satisfaction. He was slowly building his own little harem of beautiful, willing women, each with their own unique charm. Layra, his mother, and now Sophie... It was a dream come true.

"God, I love my life," Shawn whispered to himself as he began preparing a light breakfast for Sophie. He knew she'd be hungry when she woke up.

While the coffee was brewing and the toast was toasting, Shawn pulled out his phone to check the time. It was still early, which gave him enough time to have a quiet meal with Sophie before heading home. His family wouldn't suspect that he hadn't been home last night.

Speaking of family, Shawn couldn't wait to see how things would play out with Angela after yesterday's encounter in her room. During dinner, she just ate silently while avoiding his gaze. He had to act as if nothing had happened, but he knew she wouldn't forget it.

As Shawn was setting the breakfast on the table, he heard soft footsteps behind him. Turning around, he saw Sophie walking into the kitchen, wrapped in a purple robe that did little to hide her voluptuous figure.

"Good morning," he greeted with a smile.

Sophie blinked a few times, still a bit sleepy, and smiled back at him. "Good morning, Shawn. I thought you had already left. And what's this?" Her eyes lit up at the sight of the food on the table.

"Just a little something to start the day right. Don't mind that I didn't make anything more. I'm not a good cook."

"Oh, don't sell yourself short. Just making breakfast for a woman you spent the night with is a big plus. Any girl would appreciate it." Sophie sat down at the table, her robe slipping slightly off one shoulder.

Shawn sat beside her, admiring her casual beauty. "I guess that's true. But you deserve more than just toast and coffee after last night. I hope you don't mind."

"Are you kidding? This is perfect. And besides, I'm not really a morning person. I usually skip breakfast anyway." Sophie picked up her cup of coffee, sipping it gratefully. "So thank you."

After a moment of quiet enjoyment, Shawn decided to break the comfortable silence with something that had been on his mind. "Hey, Aunt Sophie... Can I ask you for something? It's kind of important."

Sophie looked up from her toast, raising an eyebrow. "Of course. What is it?"

There was a brief pause as Shawn gathered his thoughts. He knew what he wanted, but he wasn't sure how she would react. After all, it was a bit of a bold request.

"Well... I wanted to ask if it's possible to borrow some money from you," he finally said, keeping his tone casual.
