How could all of humanity be made to see cursed spirits?
And what kind of ending would await the sorcerers of Jujutsu High?
Mai didn't ask any further questions.
Her mind was still flooded with that deeply unsettling, absurd sensation.
If what the White Zetsu said came true—not just Japan, but the entire world—if all of humanity could see cursed spirits, then the collective surge of negative emotions that would erupt…
What kind of monsters would that create?
What kind of terrifying curses would be born?
Shibuya — 23:57
Within Yuki Tsukumo's domain, at the instant her fist was about to land—
A completely different cursed energy, utterly unlike hers, surged violently.
"Domain Expansion: Shadow Execution—Great Slaughter Mausoleum."
The moment Mirai's indifferent voice fell, thick ink-black darkness swallowed all the light in the arena. The countless spectators formed from cursed energy were instantly annihilated.
Like a raging tidal wave, the surging shadows crashed violently against the barrier of Yuki's domain.
The guaranteed-hit effects canceled each other out.
Before Yuki's punch could land, she was forcefully pushed back to the edge of her domain by the flood of ink-like shadows!
Crack—!
Boom!!!
The domain's outer shell shattered violently and dissipated at high speed!
Standing atop the viscous black surface, Yuki's expression matched that of the Jujutsu High sorcerers—
Pure dread.
"…There's no outer shell…"
Yuki muttered in disbelief as she stared at Mirai, who stood calmly across from her.
The battlefield remained sealed by roots resembling writhing blood vessels from the divine tree.
If there was anything particularly distinct—
It was the massive shadow throne behind Mirai, towering over ten meters high.
Pitch-black, as if forged from pure shadow, the throne was engraved with extremely intricate cursed markings at every meter.
Within the crowd—
Megumi stared at the ink pooling around his feet and the ten engraved symbols on the throne. Cold sweat streamed down his face.
"The Ten Shadows Technique!"
As a fellow Ten Shadows user, he recognized instantly what those symbols represented—
Shikigami.
Damn it!
Yuki's expression darkened to the extreme.
The worst-case scenario.
Zen'in Mirai… could actually control multiple domains!
And one without an outer shell, no less—a godlike technique!
Seated upon the cold throne, Mirai rested his head on one hand, crimson flickering in his eyes.
With a slight movement of his fingers, the calm black surface erupted violently!
Shadows leapt from the ground, instantly forming a five-meter-tall ferocious beast—
The shikigami Divine Dog, capable of tearing apart even special-grade bodies, its fangs and claws gleaming!
Slash!
With a single swipe, it tore apart Yuki's beautiful face, leaving her disfigured!
Her domain shattered, Yuki was forced into a technique burnout state.
She couldn't use her cursed technique to retaliate—she couldn't even deploy a Simple Domain.
Within Mirai's domain, under the guaranteed-hit effect, she couldn't even evade.
"Yuki-senpai, watch out!"
"Inside a Ten Shadows domain, the user is no longer limited to summoning only two types of shikigami!"
Kusakabe and Miwa activated New Shadow Style Simple Domains.
More than a dozen Jujutsu High sorcerers clustered together, frantically fending off waves of rabbits and toads.
Megumi fought while shouting toward Yuki:
"The number of identical shikigami depends on the user's cursed energy output!"
"And wherever the shadows cover, the user can instantly move!"
"They can even create shadow clones—"
His voice grew quieter.
Because he knew—
Even if Yuki understood all this, it wouldn't matter.
All their lives now depended on the whim of the figure seated on that throne.
The reason Megumi could grasp so much of the domain's nature without explanation—
Was because his incomplete domain, Chimera Shadow Garden, was also an innate domain of the Ten Shadows Technique.
Just as he said—
Within Mirai's Shadow Execution: Great Slaughter Mausoleum, spanning a 150-meter radius—
He could summon unlimited types and numbers of shikigami.
And the cost?
A negligible amount of cursed energy.
Within this domain, there was no need for movement cues or delay—
Mirai could appear anywhere at will.
Three seconds passed.
Mirai lowered his gaze toward the blood-soaked Yuki Tsukumo, contemplating…
Kill her—or not.
Kill her now—or later.
Letting that brain guy profit for free… didn't sit well with him.
"…Forget it. Let's leave it to luck."
Mirai spoke calmly.
"If you survive, you live a little longer."
"If not… then die here."
No longer hesitating—
His slender fingers fell.
Shadows spread violently!
On the throne, the highest engraved symbol began to glow faintly.
BOOM!!!
From the shadows emerged three terrifying shikigami, each five meters tall!
Bodies packed with bulging muscle, four wings on their backs, a ritual wheel above their heads—
And bound to their right arms, demon-slaying greatswords gleamed coldly!
"Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General… Mahoraga!"
Blood trickled down his forehead as Megumi turned, eyes splitting with rage and despair, and shouted!
In the past—against the volcano curse, against the ocean curse—
Every time he faced death, Megumi had the confidence to drag his opponent down with him.
That confidence came from—
The most powerful, most terrifying shikigami of the Ten Shadows Technique.
And now—
There were three of them.
Despair flashed in Megumi's eyes.
No one understood the horror of that thing better than he did.
The reason he couldn't summon it in his incomplete domain—
Was because it hadn't been exorcised.
And his cursed energy wasn't enough.
"Heh…"
Megumi let out a bitter laugh.
Three Mahoraga…
They were dead.
Yuki Tsukumo's face was so bloodied her expression was no longer visible.
Her body was broken, bones misaligned—
She was barely recognizable as human.
Her once radiant blonde hair was completely soaked in blood.
Like a string of bursting gourds, drenched in crimson.
Though she couldn't deploy a domain, she was barely managing to use Reverse Cursed Technique to heal—
Desperately stalling for the moment her technique burnout ended.
Cursed energy originates from the abdomen.
Techniques—and Reverse Cursed Technique—come from the brain.
Cursed energy is like electricity.
Techniques are like appliances.
Without techniques, cursed energy is just raw power—like a walking bomb.
Unstable.
Techniques refine and direct that power into function.
And output determines strength.
Technique burnout—
Was like mechanical overload.
It couldn't be healed—only cooled down over time.
Only Satoru Gojo and Mirai could currently heal burnout using Reverse Cursed Technique.
Yuki wasn't as overwhelmingly powerful as Gojo—
But she wasn't weak either.
At the very least, she could sustain herself during burnout using Reverse Cursed Technique.
SLASH!!!
Three massive blades came crashing down—
Nearly cleaving Yuki in half at the waist!
Another spray of blood burst forth as she collapsed to the ground, desperately protecting her vital points!
Mirai made no effort to control Mahoraga's power or strike angles.
Just as he said—
It all depended on luck.
And luck…
Did not favor Yuki.
The cold gleam of the blade fell straight toward her neck—
Clap!!!
"Boogie Woogie!"
SLASH!!!
