Chapter 1 - Trials Began

A young man was seen walking alone in the fields, his hair fluttering by the small burst of wind. He wore a black jacket, and had a olive skin under the black jacket. His black eyes shone bright by the radiant gaze of sunset.

He made his way deeper into the fields, all directions filled with massive wheat fields. Young man was alone all alone walking on pathway full of mud. Each step made his face colder and colder. yet, there was a small smile on his face.

He opened his mouth trying to say something but, all it came out was just the mist from his mouth. He tried again but this time 4 words found a way through his mouth. His heavy voice was filled with guilt and sorrow.

"My end is near."

He was aware of something, far more dangerous and cruel no one can comprehend at all.

Eventually, Young man reached in front of large iron gate which led to the graveyard filled with incomparable amount of graves in each step.

Gate was standing twice a height of his, and had a small gaps between them enough to see through perfectly.

Young man brought his sleeves up a little and slowly pushed open gates enough for him to pass by. He slowly made his way inside of graveyard, everywhere he look there is only sign of more and more graves.

There was no sound at all except, the breathing of a visitor in graveyard. He was breathing slower then before and taking huge breaths as if something much worse is waiting for him which can break him emotionally too.

He kept walking making his way through several graves however, his vision was locked straight ahead and didn't dare to look at any grave..

He stopped near a large tree which was right in middle of graveyard. The tree was extraordinary big, many branches and roots are visible finding its way out of ground.

The leaves were orange colored and just by looking at it, anyone can tell it is a true gift by nature.

"Well autumn has began already. You will surely fall but, you will get up again and much more powerful and beautiful. But, Too bad, I might not return to see you again. You gave me more than I ever knew I don't know how to thank you for it. I grew beneath your shade as a child, hands stained from the fruits I stole from your branches, laughter scattered around your roots like fallen leaves. Everyone I loved once gathered around you, and you watched us all with silent patience. How cruel it is that they are gone now, one by one, and all that remains before you is a weary soul who never stood a chance against the spell of merely surviving."

Visitor took a step back and gave a one last glance at massive tree and slowly turned around and started walking right outside of graveyard.

He reached near the gates, slowly pulling them closer and eventually made them both collide with each other. He took out a small lock from his pocket made out iron with black color painted all over it and a small chain made out of copper.

Young man slowly wrapped chain around both gates and let lock make its way through the chain. A small sound of click echoed all across the field. What he wanted to do was done.

He turned around facing the fields. slowly raised his hand, the key to the lock in his hands. He brought it back and threw it away into the depths of field.

While doing it, he sweat harder. He don't want to leave this place but had no choice. After all, he is destined to stay apart from it.

He turned towards the other side of graveyard and start to walk slowly. Each step made a sound of mud and if not to say his legs were already filled with mud and all kinds of dirt onto it.

He was born and raised out side of the main city. Rural areas are far more dangerous then anything which seize to exist. There is every kind of monsters, in the shape of animals, aliens, even in shape of human.

Young man said in a slow and calm tone, his hand slowly shaking inside of his pocket.

"I want to be strong, strong enough to protect myself. Spell has been cruel to everyone I have ever met in my life, it feels like as if I am a curse. A curse for humanity."

Spell is a really powerful entity. A entity no one can defeat by any means. The moment someone start to feel a unease presence surrounding them. They know its time for them to go, the spell has considered them worthy to achieve unnatural abilities in this ominous world.

'Well to be honest, I myself have never seen a person who wield such powers however, according to the histories I have heard about the legends who fought for the humanity and made it much better then before. There is still no one yet enough strong to go toe to toe against Corrupted Heroes.'

Finally, he reached near a small shed, he slowly took a step forward. It was made out of complete wood. There are few small trees near it. However, none of those seem to have leaves due to the weather of autumn.

He let his hand rest on the handle of the gate, slowly he turned it down one corner and pushed it inside.

The warm voice of heat from inside came out instantly, it felt like standing in a sunny weather of summer.

He took a small step forward and let out a long breath. The house was warm and it was completely packed. It was not that big of house, it was just a size of average room. The smell was the best part of house, it gave him the same feeling he feel towards the giant tree in graveyard.

There was a small bed to one corner along side a wooden cabinet aside it, almost in condition to fall off. A small round table with 2 chairs near to it. There was a small kitchen enough for a person to move freely.

Whole house was lighten by two lanterns which were at the main gate with a window blocked by the wood right near the gate.

He shut the door behind him, he took off his jacket and placed it onto the table. The olive skin visible under it with few small scratches across his palm. He didn't had any muscular body at all, he was just a young boy standing below the age of adult. He didn't thought much about things at all and went towards his bed.

He took off his boots covered in mud, few mud was on to his leggings which was in white color making the spot much more visible.

"Why does it have to be with me, Just why am I left alone I should had been there with them instead of hiding. It would be much better then hiding and living alone in this hell. After all, what can I do, I am just a farmer."

Filled with guilt he laid down on to his bed placing one hand onto his forehead, trying to forget everything that he ever went through, trying relax his mind slowly.

However, in the process of such thing he fell a sleep, he didn't notice it. Everything was dark around him, empty.

That exact moment was all it required, a voice echoed through his ears, a large text came out of darkness in front of his eyes.

{"Spell Has Chosen You To Be Its Next Warrior"}

'Damn it.'

He was aware of the spell from beginning. Countless amount of people fell for the spell from the start.

Spell once again spoke, however with no sign of kindness this time.

{"Speak Out Your Name Survivor"}

'Jeez why was I expecting kindness from such ominous and ruthless entity.'

He faced right towards the large text in front of his eyes. He slowly opened his mouth, filled with heavy emotional mood swing.

"My name is Silas"

Spell stood silent for a while then it said instantly giving Silas a small shock.

{"Welcome Silas! You Shall Proceed with the trials"}

'Trials?'

All of sudden Silas saw a dark figure standing right in front of him . It was completely dark, it had no face at all. Seemed a lot like shadow.

It walked near Silas and brought his hand forward, in instant the message of spell disappeared in front of him.

He was falling.

He screamed as he kept falling down into the utter darkness.

"Damn it, this is not good. What the hell was that."

He blinked again, this time he found himself inside of water. The ray of light sparkling inside of water.

Silas tried to move his body, He tried everything he could. Nothing worked, he was slowly getting away from light.

"No no no, this is not suppose to happen."

He was going deeper into the water, by every second he was getting closer and closer to his death.

However, the next second what he saw made a new type of fear erupt inside of him.
