After some time, the priest conducting the sacred yaga glanced toward the women who were gathered near the side of the ceremonial area.
The rituals had reached the point where the brides needed to be brought before the sacred fire, and the priest quietly gestured toward them.
"Please bring both the brides, The time has come for them to take their places beside Devara."
The women immediately understood.
Among them were Lata and Saurabheyi, two of Devara's wives who had been helping with the wedding arrangements.
They exchanged a quick glance before nodding.
"We will bring them," Lata said.
Saurabheyi smiled and nodded as well.
The two women then turned away from the ceremonial stage and began walking toward the chambers where the brides were preparing.
