Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

c2 – League of Legends Void System

Harvey then shut down the black network. The meeting with Nick Fury wouldn't take place until the day after tomorrow, so there was no rush.

Moreover, with Tony Stark about to embark on the journey that would turn him into Iron Man an event tied to his kidnapping by the Ten Rings, it meant the time had come for Harvey to reap the rewards of his preparations.

Harvey opened his stock trading software and, after a series of precise operations, prepared to sell off his $1.1 billion worth of shares in Stark Industries in batches over the next month.

For Stark Industries, still one of the world's leading weapons manufacturers supplying advanced military technology, $1.1 billion in stock was not enough to shake the market; there would always be buyers ready to absorb it.

Selling everything at once wouldn't cause significant losses, but it might attract unwanted attention something Harvey preferred to avoid.

Although he operated in the mercenary world under the codename Grim Reaper, in public Harvey Ambellaca maintained the image of a young, successful, and extremely wealthy businessman.

This identity was carefully constructed through intermediaries who managed his financial channels, charging a 5% commission each time a high price, but one that ensured his activities remained hidden from organizations like S.H.I.E.L.D.

With this clean identity, he could move freely in society without suspicion.

Once he sold at a high price, all he needed to do was wait for Tony Stark's capture and subsequent decision to shut down Stark Industries' weapons division, which would cause the company's stock to plummet.

Afterward, Stark's genius would inevitably lead to a resurgence, allowing Harvey to buy low and sell high once again, profiting immensely.

Just as he was finishing these arrangements, his stomach growled loudly.

Harvey paused, already accustomed to this sensation, and headed toward the garage.

Inside was a collection of luxury cars. After a brief moment of thought, he changed clothes and selected an Audi R8.

With the key in hand, he drove out of the manor.

Ever since acquiring the power of the Void specifically abilities similar to Kha'Zix, Harvey had gained tremendous strength, but at the cost of an insatiable hunger.

He didn't resent it.

Power always came with a price, and becoming a glutton was far better than losing control or his humanity entirely.

Harvey drove toward his usual restaurant in Hell's Kitchen.

In most American cities, shops would already be closing by 10 PM, but New York remained alive deep into the night.

Although Hell's Kitchen had a reputation for crime and danger often involving vigilantes like Daredevil, its vibrant nightlife made it the perfect place for someone like Harvey.

His Void System allowed him to select one of eight Void-based champions: Kassadin, Kai'Sa, Rek'Sai, Kog'Maw, Malzahar, Vel'Koz, Kha'Zix, and Cho'Gath.

Each template offered immense potential, but careful selection was critical.

Rek'Sai, Kai'Sa, and Kog'Maw required time to reach their full potential, so they were eliminated early.

Malzahar, the Void Prophet, offered powerful foresight and Void magic, but Harvey already possessed knowledge of major future events in this universe, making it unnecessary for now.

Kassadin's spatial abilities were tempting, but Earth alone did not yet require such power.

Vel'Koz, with its extreme intelligence and analytical abilities, lacked durability, making it a risky early choice.

That left Kha'Zix and Cho'Gath both focused on growth and evolution.

Harvey ultimately chose Kha'Zix, and it proved to be the correct decision.

At the beginning, he gained the ability to blend perfectly into darkness, becoming invisible, along with razor-sharp claws capable of slicing through steel.

After 237 evolutions over two years, his capabilities had reached terrifying levels: flight at speeds approaching Mach 4, immense physical durability that rendered firearms nearly useless, and heightened senses capable of detecting movements across vast distances.

Even elemental attacks like fire, ice, lightning, or toxins posed minimal threat to him.

Yet Harvey remained cautious.

This was still the Marvel Universe a world where beings like Ancient One and Captain Marvel existed, individuals whose power far exceeded conventional limits.

The presence of the Ancient One in particular made him wary; drawing her attention could lead to consequences he was not yet prepared to face.

Fortunately, his evolution had no clear limit. He was still only at the beginning.

Because of this, Harvey never acted recklessly.

As for unlocking a second template, the system had given no clear method, only stating that more options would become available in time.

Over the past two years, Harvey had lived freely earning vast sums through mercenary work while indulging in the finest food the world had to offer.

His evolution depended not only on food consumption but also on absorbing materials containing energy.

Based on past experiments, even ordinary metals like iron and steel provided evolutionary energy.

By that logic, absorbing Vibranium the rare metal found in Wakanda should grant an enormous boost, assuming his body could process it.

However, consuming common metals came with severe drawbacks.

After absorbing iron or steel, Harvey would be unable to eat for an entire week, enduring unbearable hunger.

Unless necessary, he avoided doing so.

Still, for greater strength, such risks might become unavoidable.

Harvey planned to attempt absorbing vibranium in the future, once he unlocked additional templates.

He only hoped it wouldn't taste as unbearable as steel.

Thinking about it slightly reduced his appetite.

Shaking his head, Harvey refocused and continued driving.

Soon, he arrived at a high-end restaurant in Hell's Kitchen, smoothly parking his car.

Although Harvey was Asian, his tall, muscular build, handsome appearance, tailored suit, and expensive car immediately drew attention from several women nearby.

He was already used to it.

While he occasionally indulged in fleeting relationships, he was far from someone who chased every passing attraction.

At that moment, a blonde woman approached with a charming smile.

"Mr. Harvey, you're as handsome as ever."

"Miss Diana, you know I'm not interested in that sort of thing,"

Harvey replied casually, observing her poised figure and confident demeanor.

"Of course," Diana said with a teasing smile. "I just wonder who will be lucky enough to win your heart."

She gestured gracefully. "Please, come in. The chefs began preparing as soon as they heard you were coming."

"Winning my heart is difficult," Harvey said lightly, "but fleeting attraction is another matter."

He paused before adding with a faint smile, "Would Miss Diana be interested in sharing breakfast with me tomorrow?"

Diana's heart skipped at his words, her expression briefly filled with anticipation.

Harvey Ambellaca, who had settled in New York over a year ago, was known as a wealthy, polite, and attractive businessman someone who, while not as infamous as Tony Stark, still attracted considerable attention.

If he truly meant it, she would not refuse.

After all, rumors suggested that even a brief relationship with him could bring financial rewards beyond imagination.

But as she looked into his calm, clear eyes, she realized it was merely a joke.

"Mr. Harvey is as witty as ever."

Suppressing her disappointment, Diana smiled and led him inside.

Harvey nodded slightly at this, said nothing more, and followed her inside. After quickly finishing a large meal and filling his stomach, it was already midnight when Harvey drove back through Hell's Kitchen to his manor. Upon arriving home, Harvey went straight to the secret training base beneath the estate a place he had personally designed, filled with intricate terrain, reinforced structures, and rapidly moving targets capable of withstanding impacts far beyond conventional weapons, ensuring even abilities on the level of enhanced individuals monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D. could be tested safely.

Currently, few beings on Earth in the Marvel Universe could truly match Harvey's power; those who could figures such as Thor or the Hulk were far beyond ordinary comparison. Because of this imbalance, Harvey relied on constant self-training to adapt to the overwhelming strength granted by his evolution rather than recklessly testing himself against unknown forces.

[Your evolution points have reached one million. Please select an evolution direction.]

[Passive Invisible Threat Evolution Level 27: When there is only one person within ten meters of your target, they will be isolated and helpless. Against enemies in this state, your cutting and piercing abilities will be greatly enhanced.]

[Taste of Fear Evolution Level 32: Instantly unleash sixteen silent stabs. If the enemy is isolated and helpless, the power is greatly increased.]

[Void Thrust Evolution Level 40: Instantly unleashes an explosive, toxic thrust that strikes all around the caster. Hitting a target restores the caster's life energy, accelerating the healing of all injuries. Currently, the angle is 360 degrees, covering a range of one kilometer.]

[If the target is isolated, the power and life energy absorption effect are enhanced.]

[Leap Strike Evolution Level 35: Instantly unleashes terrifying power for a leap and descent. Jump power, descent power, and flight speed are all significantly increased.]

[Void Assault Level 50: Vanishes into the darkness of the void, greatly increasing speed and allowing the caster to move through the dark void regardless of matter. While in the darkness, no creature can detect the caster.]

[These skills will be further enhanced when the caster reverts to their hero form.]

"Change is a good thing." — Kha'Zix, the Void Reaver.

[Void Skin Evolution Level 25, Mental Resistance Level 15, Hearing Evolution Level 13.]

Harvey didn't hesitate and allocated the evolution points to Void Skin.

While possessing the abilities of Cho'Gath the Void Terror would allow his body to reach near-indestructible levels similar to legendary beings who could rival even vibranium defenses, for now he had no choice but to strengthen his own Void Skin to improve resistance against various forms of damage, including kinetic force, energy attacks, and extreme environmental hazards.

His offensive capabilities were already more than sufficient to eliminate most opponents, but his physical body had yet to reach a level where it could completely ignore damage.

Although he could absorb life energy to heal injuries similar in concept to certain regenerative abilities seen among enhanced beings this only meant he had encountered an enemy capable of harming him.

In such a situation, retreat was always an option.

Harvey was not reckless. With his ability to evolve endlessly, he could always return stronger.

If he couldn't defeat an enemy now, he could evolve dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of times until victory was inevitable.

However, eliminating threats without the need to retreat was always preferable, which made increasing his defensive capabilities a priority.

After making his selection, a terrifying shadow manifested behind him—a five-meter-tall mantis-like figure with a dark purple exoskeleton, resembling the Void Reaver itself.

A mysterious and sinister violet light spread across the shadow and enveloped Harvey's body, echoing the same otherworldly energy that characterized the Void.

Harvey turned to look at the figure, his heart filled with both excitement and caution.

He understood that only by fully activating the Kha'Zix template could he unleash his maximum potential and access his true strength.

He had done so once before, and the sensation of merging with the Void of becoming one with endless darkness was intoxicating.

However, that power came at a cost.

The overwhelming killing intent and predatory instincts of the Void constantly echoed in his mind during activation, threatening to erode his rationality.

Harvey feared that prolonged use would eventually overwhelm his will, causing him to lose control and become nothing more than a creature driven by instinct killing, devouring, and evolving without restraint, much like the mindless hunger associated with certain destructive forces in the universe.

Because of this, he chose a different path.

By absorbing large quantities of less desirable materials such as iron and steel, he could accelerate his evolution without relying on the full manifestation of Kha'Zix's power, ensuring he retained control over himself.

[You have performed 238 evolutions. Void Skin has successfully evolved to Level 26. The next evolution requires one million evolution points.]

Harvey changed into his training attire and began his routine.

Within the three-story, 3,000-square-meter training facility, his figure moved like a shadow leaping, striking, and maneuvering through obstacles with precision.

His current power was immense, and even the slightest miscalculation could result in catastrophic damage, potentially drawing the attention of powerful figures or organizations.

Therefore, Harvey never neglected his training.

He maintained strict discipline, allowing himself at most two days of rest each week ensuring that as his power grew, his control over it would remain absolute.
