After leaving White Town, Ash and his friends crossed a breezy plateau and reached a silent forest. As evening approached, the group, which had planned to set up camp, happened to find an herb garden.
Lapras had discovered it. Since there was a large stream in the forest, Ash had let it out to play in the water. Not far across the stream, it spotted the garden.
"Old Lady Shima, this is delicious!"
The owner of the herb garden was an elderly woman. In this small garden, she cultivated many flowers and plants, which were supposedly medicinal herbs helpful for Pokémon, though they usually didn't taste very good. Of course, she also grew some delicious ingredients, like the tea Molly Hale was currently praising.
"I'm glad you like it. This tea is brewed from herbs I grew together with the Pokémon." Deep in this quiet forest, Old Lady Shima and her Pokémon enjoyed a peaceful and elegant life. It was truly enviable.
Ash had released all his Pokémon, except for Lapras, who stayed in the stream, and Meganium, which had been carrying Molly. There were also Wartortle, Ivysaur, and Noctowl.

"A powerful Venusaur possesses the power to manipulate nature. It can make flowers bloom, trees grow, and control vines freely!" Ash smiled confidently, whispering those words. Once, there was a Venusaur that could use a special ritual of its kind to make Bulbasaur evolve into Ivysaur.
