The child's voice was barely louder than a whisper.
But the fear in it was real.
Evetyl had never seen the child so frightened.
She looked toward the dark horizon.
The first forgotten memory had found peace.

Thousands more were slowly walking across the endless field of white flowers.
None of them rushed.
None of them shouted.
They simply kept moving.
Step by step.
As though they had all been called to the same place.
The giant shadow leading them was different.
It was far taller than the others.
Its body was covered by a cloak of moving darkness, and its outline constantly shifted, making it impossible to see its true form.

Kai suddenly felt a warm breeze brush past him.
The white light surrounding Evetyl flickered.
The traveler noticed it immediately.
"She's waking up."
Kai's face brightened.
"Really?"
"I think so."
The Curator slowly looked toward the great doorway.
"Then we don't have much time."
Kai frowned.
"What do you mean?"
The Curator pointed upward.
The cracks in the sky had become larger.
Small pieces of reality were breaking away like glass.
Beyond them...
Unknown stars could be seen.
Stars that did not belong to this universe.
The Eye floated higher.
"They're getting closer."
Noah looked up.
"What are they?"
The Eye answered quietly.
"Worlds."

Kai looked confused.
"Worlds?"

"It would mean different histories trying to exist at the same time."

The child led Evetyl toward the doorway of light.
It was closer now.
Kai's voice could be heard more clearly.
"Evetyl!"
She smiled.

The giant shadow watched silently.

Instead, it slowly raised one hand.
The thousands of forgotten memories behind it also stopped walking.
The child frowned.
"Why aren't they moving?"
The giant shadow answered.
"They are waiting."

The shadow looked directly at Evetyl.
"For her choice."
Evetyl stopped.
"My choice?"
"You came here because you remembered."
The shadow's voice remained calm.
"You may leave."

"...you may remember everything."
The child's eyes widened.

It stepped in front of Evetyl.
"She's not ready!"
The giant shadow did not argue.

"I've seen this before."
Kai froze.

The traveler slowly nodded.

The traveler looked away.
"I don't remember."
Kai stared at him.
"You don't remember?"
A bitter smile appeared on the traveler's face.
"I've traveled through too many timelines."
"I've forgotten parts of my own life."

"Then why did you call my name?"
The giant shadow looked at her.

Not toward Evetyl.
Toward the giant shadow.
It landed gently in its hand.
The shadow stared at it.
For several seconds...

A single tear of silver light fell onto the flower-covered ground.
"I remember..."
It whispered.
The darkness around its body began to fade.
Not completely.
Just enough for Evetyl to see part of its face.
It looked tired.
Kind.
And filled with sorrow.
"I had..."
"...a little sister."
Its voice broke.
"I promised..."
"...to protect her."
The child smiled sadly.
"You remembered."
The giant shadow nodded.
"Just one memory."
"But it is enough."
The silver tear touched the earth.
A new branch instantly grew from the great Memory Tree.
Bright green leaves covered it in seconds.
The child laughed softly through tears.
"Another memory came home."
Evetyl watched the branch grow.
For the first time, she truly understood.
The Memory Field wasn't a prison.
It was a sanctuary.
A place where forgotten lives waited to be remembered.
A place where no one had to disappear forever.
But then...
The entire field suddenly became silent.
Even the wind stopped.
The child's smile vanished.
It slowly looked toward the endless white sky.
"...No."
Evetyl followed its gaze.
High above them...
A crack appeared.
Unlike the others...
This one was black.
Not white.
Not golden.
Black.
It spread across the sky in complete silence.
The traveler outside Crosshaven looked up at the exact same moment.
His face lost all color.
"...Impossible."
Kai noticed immediately.
"What is it?"
The traveler whispered only four words.
"They found this place."
"Who?"
The traveler slowly closed his eyes.
"The Eaters of Memory."
At that exact moment...
A massive hand of pure darkness reached through the black crack above the Memory Field.
The child stepped in front of Evetyl without hesitation.
Its small body trembled.
But it refused to move.
Its voice echoed across the endless field.
"You are not taking them again."
