Chapter 4 - The Sin Archbishop Representing Greed

"I really hate to meddle in other people's relationships, but don't you think that you're being pretty harsh on that woman?"

Geto said in a calm and respectful voice. Regulus spun around abruptly to face him, glaring indignantly as he crossed his arms behind his back and let out a loud sigh.

"Did you just tell me what to do? Absolutely no one has the right to tell me how I have to treat my wives. Besides, you don't even seem to possess the basic decency to introduce yourself respectfully to me, a complete stranger, like a civilized person. Then you have the audacity to bother me like this while I'm having a normal conversation with one of my wives..."

Geto remained standing calmly throughout the stranger's monologue, listening to him intently.

"So this man is one of 'that' sort. interesting. But if he really has a heavenly restriction, I mustn't react impulsively... again"

Geto thought to himself as he briefly looked up at the night sky with a focused gaze.

"Or I might end up like that cursed spirit."

Moments after Regulus had finished speaking, Geto spoke up in a calm and concentrated voice.

"I see… You are right. I apologize for my rudeness in not introducing myself first. If you'll allow me, I'd like to correct that mistake."

Of course he didn't actually believe any of these things he just said, but they likely will help him to get more informations out of that strange man.

Meanwhile Regulus looked at Geto with his golden eyes as his annoyed expression seemed to relax as a satisfied smile formed on his face and he once more spoke up.

"It's refreshing to see that you've finally realized your mistake. Afterall, every relationship requires reflection on one's own faults, which you've just admitted to and shown me. You see, tha's what I call a first step toward the right direction, so tell me, who are you?"

Geto had been hoping for exactly this kind of response as he introduced himself.

"My name is Suguru Geto and I am a jujutsu sorcerer of the Jujutsu Academy…"

Regulus seemed to be listening to him with visible neutrality so far, while Number 215 watched the proceedings silently but nervously.

"Forgive me for asking, but since you can obviously perceive cursed spirits you surely have some sort of a heavenly restriction, don't you? Afterall... sending a cursed spirit flying like that isn't something a normal human could do"

Geto was about to ask the man something else in the same breath when he was suddenly interrupted by Regulus, whose face had now twisted in indignation and whose eyebrows were furrowed.

"restriction? Who do you think you are!? falsely believing that you have the right to freely judge me without my consent and a with derogatory term like 'restriction' at that. Yet at the same time, you don't even seem to realize that despite my already shown power, I don't possess 'restrictions' or 'weaknesses.' I am the most fulfilled person in the entire world. I need absolutely nothing, nor have I ever needed anything. No matter the time, I have always been doing well, as I am perfectly fulfilled with myself. So don't you dare judge me, if you can't even understand something so basic."

A strong gust of wind swept across the grounds, causing Geto's uniform to flutter slightly, while Regulus's clothes and hair remained completely unaffected, something Geto noticed.

"His clothes… no, not just that, even his body seems completely unaffected by the wind… Some kind of protective barrier, perhaps?"

While Geto tried to figure out what this man's ability was, he spoke up to buy more time.

"Well, you really do talk a lot about yourself but you haven't mentioned your name yet. It would be handy to know a person's name. Especially when that person goes to such lengths to explain things in detail as you do, don't you think?"

Regulus then looked at Geto silently for several moments, his golden eyes pensive, before a smug, proud grin spread across his face.

"I am the Sin Archbishop of the Witches' Cult, representing Greed... Regulus Corneas."

Even tho Geto seemed to remain calm and collected on the outside, he actually was quite confused and flabbergasted at the moment.

"Witches' Cult ? Sin Archbishop? What's that guy talking about? He seems to mean what he says... So he's part of a religious organization... Those are the worst of those monkeys... But still... something about this guy just feels wrong."

"Could his ability be something like Infinity? He possesses no cursed energy to cast techniques... Could his secret strengh maybe be the combination of a Binding Vow and a Heavenly Restriction?"

The more information Geto learned, the stranger the whole situation became to him. He had never even heard a rumor about any "Witch Church" or a man without cursed energy who could simply catapult a cursed spirit into space without a problem.

It was as if this person simply didn't belong here at all.

"Well, I must say that you are quite a strange person with all the talking of strange things..."

Geto replied respectfully, still deep in thought, whereupon the smile vanished from Regulus's face and he gave him an annoyed look.

"What are you talking about now? I don't know what region you're from, but where I come from, it's a given that you express yourself clearly and concisely to the person you're speaking to, so that they don't have to ask for clarification. So don't waste my precious time with such half-spoken remarks. Besides, why do you mistakenly believe you have the right to label me 'strange' for no reason as if I were nothing more than some object just because you clearly seem to lack the empathy to understand my personal perspective on things?... I believe that's a violation of my right to freely express myself!"

As sonn Regulus finished speaking, his eyebrows furrowed in anger as he raised his hand toward Geto and pointed at him with a snapping motion of his fingers, just as Geto instinctively dodged to the side at the very last moment.

Not a second later, Regulus snapped his finger in Geto's direction, whereupon the wind generated by the gesture was frozen in time by his Authority and, like an unstoppable projectile, completely obliterated several consecutive piles of rubble.
