Chapter 1 - White Sword: A New Journey

Shanks draws his sword, and with a very strong movement, he strikes a fleet of ships in the sea, splitting them all into tiny pieces.

Ben Beckman: He always does everything, leaves us nothing. Man, I haven't used my full strength here for years.

Shanks: No need, hahahahaha. Learn something? There is a place called the Uneven Land, it is said that the White Sword is there.

Ben Beckman: And do you need another sword, hahahaha? You have one hand, one sword, I think it's enough.

Shanks: No, man, don't open the wounds of the past, I have bet with my hand on the future.

We will meet Luffy soon, I want that sword to give it to Zoro like a gift, that's all there is to it.

Ben Beckman: Hah, yes, Zoro? He is Luffy's vice. Okay, okay, no problem for me, one sword, and we will get it wherever it is, but tell me, what's special about this sword? You said its name is the White Sword.

Shanks: Yes, it is the sword with which the greatest swordsman the world has ever known fought.

Ben Beckman: Who do you mean, Roger?

Shanks: No, no, the greatest swordsman the world has ever known was Roger's teacher, named Shasha. He owned the White Sword.

But it is in a place called the Uneven Land, that area where the strongest men lose their strength and prestige. I wanted to go there a long time ago; I think the time has come to go. Prepare the sails and get ready to set off on a new adventure, let's go, men.

Crew: Let's go, let's head to the Uneven Land, we will make it even, no doubt about that.

Shanks: Hahahahahaha, of course, of course, we will do that.

The crew set off on a new journey and a new goal. Adventures had always been their only goal, neither treasures mattered nor power, only a ship with a crew who knew each other well and a new goal, that's all that matters, the rest is not important at all.

The Uneven Land did not appear on the map, no one had gone there before. There were doubts even about its existence because Shanks had heard about it from a man wearing torn clothes, asking for money in a tavern, while Shanks was drunk. He heard this man speaking and saying:

"Give me some money, and I will guide you to a place with a sword unlike any other."

Here Shanks started swaying left and right, took out some money, gave it to the man, and said: "Speak, tell me about this sword you were talking about, come on, start talking."

The man: "It is the sword of Master Shasha, a sword inhabited by good spirits, spirits that helped the first ancestors in their war against the Black Crow armies." The man added: "Hah, Master Shasha was a kind and very strong man. No one could defeat him, not even his very strong student, Roger. Yes, Roger was his student; he trained him until he later became the King of the Pirates. And there are reports that the One Piece treasure really exists in the Uneven Land."

Shanks: "Hah, you've talked a lot, man, but I've never heard of the Uneven Land, where is it in your opinion?"

The man: "It is said to appear once a year when the moon meets the sun, then disappears again until the next year. But you were generous with me, and I am now an old man. I wanted to go, but I couldn't. My grandfather used to tell me: If you can't go, marry and have a son, and tell him he must go. This was his will. But I didn't, I never married. So take this piece, it will lead you to the Uneven Land. I saw in you the person capable of going there and obtaining the sword and the treasure. It is real, the One Piece is real, Roger left it there in his teacher's grave. That was Roger's promise to his teacher."

Shanks: "How is that?"

The man: "Yes, because Roger was an orphan, he wandered between houses and markets, suffering a lot in his childhood, until Master Shasha saw him in front of his small shop. At that moment Shasha said: 'Child, what are you doing here? Are you hungry?'"

Roger the child nodded: "Yes, I am hungry, I haven't eaten anything for two days."

Shasha had a very special vision; he saw in this small child that he would become someone important in the future.

He gave him some food and said: "Do you want to become a swordsman?"

Roger the child: "Yes, I want that."

Although he did not know the meaning of what the man feeding him said, he saw it as an escape from the hell of the streets.

Shanks: "Wait, wait, you talk a lot, do you think I'm a fool to believe this crazy story? Roger, the King of the Pirates, wandered the alleys without food? Only a madman like you and a madman like me would believe that, hahahaha. Go on, go on, I love you, man. Hey, waiter, give my friend this drink, hurry, hurry, hahahaha, come on, faster. He's dried out from talking, hahahaha. He's saying beautiful words, continue, continue, man. So, what happened next?"

The man: "After that, Roger joined Shasha's students, he was the youngest, but despite his young age, he was very special. He never left the training place until Shasha forced him to go out, fearing he might get hurt. But he trained and trained, which made Shasha feel that Roger was not just a student; he felt he was like a son. Shasha gave everything to Roger. When he grew up, he became the greatest swordsman history had ever known, but he used to say: I am not the best, Shasha will remain the greatest, and he adds: He is truly a great man."

The man: "Here, opinions differ, there is no unified story, but most likely, Roger said: I will gather all the treasures of the world and bring them to your home, my master, this is my promise to you." And this was the moment when Roger set off to the underworld, fighting until he gathered all the treasures of the world and brought them to his teacher.

"Yes, all the treasures of the world, there, the One Piece is real and exists in the Uneven Land." The man added: "Keep that piece, it is your path to that land." The man added: "Now I feel relieved, I have gotten rid of a very heavy burden."

Shanks: "In fact, I did not take the man's words seriously; I only listened because he was a good storyteller. I felt that listening to him would make me enjoy and sleep, and indeed the man left, and Shanks slept."

To the next chapter: Was what the man said true, or was he a crazy man saying anything?

Stay tuned to find out.
