Chapter 4 - Excitement

Ice Moon was exhausted.

After shyly changing into her dried clothes, the young girl fell into a deep sleep upon the bed of flowers.

As a demon gentleman, Chen Zhen was in no hurry to make a move; instead, he chose to let her rest well.

After seeing that she had fallen into a deep sleep, Chen Zhen quietly left to find Verelia.

"Morag, this is not a place you should come to."

"Verelia, you must help me with this!"

Chen Zhen pretended not to hear her previous words as he looked down at the woman in the hot spring. One-third of her plump, white breasts were exposed to the air above the water, radiating steam and making one's mouth water.

This woman had long black hair, golden pupils, and a pair of white horns.

She was a Succubus, much like a little cow.

Chen Zhen felt a surge of heat and wanted to go down for a soak in the hot spring as well.

However, he was here to ask for Verelia's help, so it was better not to make her angry.

"Speak, Morag. My patience is limited."

Verelia stared expressionlessly at the demon above, but she didn't speak to drive him away again.

This demon companion of hers was somewhat eccentric, always doing strange things. He was different from that insidious old Demon Warlock and those two idiot companions.

"Oh, it's a small matter. I would like to ask you to go to town and buy some things used by humans for me."

Chen Zhen stated his purpose. He knew that Verelia liked to go to human towns to buy things; she was the one among the demons who understood human enjoyment the most.

He flicked out over a dozen gold coins and a demon contract.

"..."

Verelia looked at the demon contract before her, speechless. It was covered in a dense list of supplies. What did this guy think a demon contract was? To have the abyssal consciousness witness this?

And was he treating her like a beast of burden for pulling a wagon? So many things... "These gold coins are enough to buy a carriage. I owe you a favor, Verelia."

Chen Zhen bowed with one hand over his chest in a gesture of respect.

"Dresses for women? Morag, what are you up to?" Verelia's elegant brows furrowed slightly as she scanned the list again. "There's also jewelry, spices, bedding, wine..."

"The dresses should be smaller than yours."

Chen Zhen didn't explain, but instead gave a hint, using flames to outline the silhouette of a young girl's figure. "Roughly like this."

Verelia grew more and more confused, but in the end, she could only nod and began to shoo him away. "Fine, I understand. You can go back now."

Chen Zhen left, feeling satisfied... "Cinder, what are you doing?"

Chen Zhen stared at a wretched, short figure at the entrance of the cave.

"Morag, I smelled the scent of food—such a pure soul!"

A wretched smile appeared on Cinder's face, yet he also seemed somewhat dissatisfied. "So you went hunting alone? How devious! To lead such a soul into corruption and fear, I can only imagine how delicious it must be!"

*Snap.*

Cinder suddenly felt his neck tighten as he was lifted into the air.

"Morag... what are you doing? I was just talking! That's your prey!"

Cinder saw everything clearly and struggled to speak; his throat was gripped by Morag.

Chen Zhen ignored him, dragging him to a place far from the cave and slamming him hard against a large tree.

He said coldly, "Cinder, that is my woman. If anything happens to her, regardless of whether you did it or not, I will twist your head off and give it to an Ogre to use as a chamber pot!"

Cinder was only a Level 2 demon; Chen Zhen didn't take him seriously. If he weren't worried about provoking the dissatisfaction of his other companions, he would have cracked the guy's skull open right then!

A trace of green blood leaked from the corner of Cinder's mouth, his face filled with grievance and fear.

He actually wanted to recognize Morag as his boss, which was why he liked seeking him out. After all, it was far too dangerous for a few demons like them to live in Auri.

"Morag, don't be like this. I won't touch her..."

He pleaded for mercy.

"Catch a few Green-skinned Bastards and an Ogre for me tomorrow, and I'll consider you forgiven!"

Chen Zhen released Cinder. He knew the other wouldn't dare touch his things, but he still had to give him a warning, and... he needed a foreman for labor.

Cinder fell to the ground, bowing his head as he whispered, "Alright, I will definitely do it to your satisfaction!"

"I hope so."

Chen Zhen then departed and returned to his residence. He glanced peacefully at the deep-sleeping Ice Moon, a gentle smile appearing on his face.

He lightly toyed with Ice Moon's light blue, silky long hair, then went to the side to study a Transformation Spell.

He had obtained this spell previously by trading with Verelia. Unfortunately, he wasn't particularly talented in this area, and after half a month, he hadn't made much progress.

Once he mastered it, he could also enter human towns for fun. Although he wouldn't be able to enter large human cities, it would still be much more free than his current situation.

The next day.

When Ice Moon woke up, there was no sign of anyone in the cave. She lightly rubbed her ice-blue eyes and walked outside.

There was a lot of commotion outside.

It caused her eyes to widen.

What did she see? Two Ogres and about twenty Goblins were transporting timber and stones. A short, One-horned Demon was shrilly supervising them while standing submissively beside Chen Zhen.

The surroundings were completely wild.

Deep within the Nora Mountain Range lived countless monsters. Clearly, her current location was within the Nora Mountain Range.

"Morag, I went to find them last night just so I wouldn't delay your business!"

Cinder smiled flatteringly.

Although it gave off a sinister and wretched vibe, in Chen Zhen's eyes at this moment, it was somewhat cute.

He hadn't expected this demon companion to take his words so much to heart, and even over-deliver by catching an extra Ogre.

"Very good, very good! You've done well!"

Chen Zhen said with satisfaction.

However, the aesthetic sense and construction skills of these monsters were questionable. He needed to personally supervise them. As a way to pass the time when bored, he had read quite a few books.

Just then, he sensed a gaze from behind. He turned his head to look, and it was Ice Moon.

Ice Moon opened her mouth to speak, but her cheeks eventually turned crimson. She really didn't know how to address this demon who kept saying he wanted to marry her. She whispered, "Mr. Morag... good morning..."

"Good morning, my girl."

Chen Zhen returned the smile and walked to her side. "There is fresh water in the wooden bucket. You can go wash up, and then I have prepared delicious mushroom and meat soup for you."

"Thank you."

Ice Moon nodded quietly.

"Alright, go on. Don't let these ugly monsters ruin your good mood this morning."

Chen Zhen ruffled the girl's head and smiled slightly, completely forgetting that he was the most terrifying monster on the field, radiating a powerful and evil aura.
