Loreen's POV
The report on the academy was thirty one pages long.
Loreen knew this because Edgar had told him at the start and had been working through it page by page for the past forty minutes with the focused dedication of a man who believed that no detail was too small to present in full.
Loreen was sitting behind his desk with his hands flat on the surface in front of him and his eyes on Edgar. But his mind was somewhere on the road between the palace and the capital market.
"The eastern wing of the building would require the most renovation," Edgar said, turning to the next page.
He set it flat on the desk and smoothed the corner down with his thumb the way he always did before settling into a section he considered important. "The current structure is sound," he continued. "The bones of the building are good. Whoever built it knew what they were doing. But the interior would need to be reconfigured entirely to work as a teaching space."
