Everything that represented the Eldritch Knight was gone. In their places were a faceless head, a worn-out trench coat, and a fedora.
The System Ghost returned. System Ghost had an Awaken Hacking Skill. And Carter wanted to test if he could use it to remove the Cyber Core.
The faceless man placed his hand on the Cyber Core. Immediately, lines of code appeared in Carter's mind.
It was the source code of the Cyber Core and its programs. Carter could see everything and he could manipulate it.
'The Logic Threads… There are a lot. Cyber Runner really digs deep into computing power, huh?
These are the Logged Records… The Cyber Core records everything the slave saw and heard. How dangerous. Delete everything relating to me.

Carter's fingers extended and he once again plunged into Nina's arm. This time, no electricity stopped him from plucking it out. A gaping bloody hole was left on Nina's arm.

The cost to activate it was basically charity. But Cyber Slaves didn't have even one coin to activate it.
Cyber Runner would let the Slave fend for themselves. The good one would figure it out. While the bad ones died. Cyber Runner did not have enough attention to save the useless one.

It was the first time Carter saw the Prime Shop. He had heard a lot about it from the other Cyber Slaves. Those that survived the first jump.
Carter clicked on Consumables. A wide array of items appeared. Healing items, food, drink, even questionable drugs were available.

Carter filtered out all other items and picked the 'Healing' category. Ordinary items like bandages would be sold for a few coins. Some items that could even accomplish the miracle of resurrection were available for thousands and millions of coins.
Carter filtered out most of the items and only looked for those that were lower than 299 coins.

The Syringes materialized on the ground. Carter grabbed one of them and plunged it into Nina's right arm.
The bloody hole on her arm quickly healed up. As soon as Carter verified it worked, he grabbed the machete and pulled it out of Nina's abdomen.
She screamed in pain and woke up. She saw the faceless man and immediately tried to hit him.
Carter grabbed Nina's wrist. His other hand caught her throat and pinned her on the ground.
"Let me go, creature!" Nina shouted.
"I would not be moving if I were you." Carter said.
He made it so that his voice was neutral and a little bit breathy. Just like how a distant ghost would be.
Nina's chest rose up and down. Her entire body sweated heavily, making her skin glistened in the night. She opened her eyes wide as she saw the gaping hole on her stomach was closing up.
Once she was fine, Carter let her go.
Nina crawled backwards immediately. She grabbed a pipe wrench lying on the ground.
"Who are you?" Nina said.
Her dirty blonde hair flowed naturally over her small face and covered half of it.
Carter stood up and looked at her in silence. He stayed there for minutes until he turned around and walked out of the garage.
