He turned his neck to look at Bryce. “Step back.”

The threat in his tone was clear. “Or I’ll make you step back.”

Neo was betrayed and left to die in the most important mission of his life. 

When he opened his eyes again, it was ten years later and the world had moved on without him. He, who was once the strongest hunter on Mars, suddenly became a civilian without any of his abilities.

Neo has to build himself up from scratch but his sync partners—the people who are supposed to be his soulmates—are set on holding him back and controlling him.

In addition, Mars has become something else and is no longer the home he dearly remembers. Neo’s return stirs up forces that are greater than anything imaginable as he takes it upon himself to rectify things.

His righteous actions gain him more enemies than friends. And somehow, his soulmates seem to be among those enemies.

"Ability users who got into power and only cared about Earth. Fighting Bizarros and all."


Neo was close to asking what else were ability users supposed to be doing other than fighting off Bizarros and protecting Mars.


He was about to open his mouth when Raze said, "I get it, though. Those creatures are a huge aspect of even having abilities and being able to 'protect Mars.' But Mars itself has bigger problems than an unsafe Earth."


Neo's brows creased as he listened to Raze's words. He failed to understand the aspect of Mars having bigger problems than Earth.


Raze knew this just by looking at the confused expression on his face. Up to himself, he wouldn't bother explaining these sorts of things to Neo, but he needed to know sometime or the other.


"Have you ever left Star City?" Raze suddenly asked him. "Like, have you been to other regions and districts besides Star City and its Capital?"
