The day for the field trip arrived. The class of high-ranked hunters and restorers-in-training filed into an aero hyper bus.
"I'm so excited!" Anika's loud voice reached every corner of the bus as she stepped in. "I'm going to see my first dungeon!"
"It's not a dungeon," Tyrese corrected from behind her. "It's a Gate. A closed one for that matter."
"Still counts." Anika smiled foolishly.
Neo and Bryce, who were in front, shook their heads in disappointment.
The female alpha had successfully bulldozed her way into their little trio and was serving as some sort of a jester to the group.
The four people sat down in pairs of two. Neo was the most unlucky because between the three, none were better than the other. But to them, sitting next to Neo was the greatest privilege.
They even played a game to decide who would get the seat beside him. Bryce cheated and won, occupying the chair victoriously.
"Senior, I'm so happy to be with you." Bryce snuggled up to Neo.
