Neo couldn't explain why those words had agitated him to the point where he fisted the front of Adrian's shirt and slammed him against the nearest wall.
"What the hell are you trying to say?" Neo asked with an intimidating tone.
His onyx eyes reflected a whirling pool of darkness and the expression on his face was so deadly that it made Adrian crumble up in fear quickly.
"Nothing!" Adrian cried, almost wetting his pants in fear. "I just said nonsense!"
Neo didn't fully believe that it was nonsense as he pressed Adrian against the wall harder and the grip on his shirt became tighter.
Though having more than one sync partner was normal, three sync partners was not a number people usually came across.
Neo believed that Adrian was trying to insult him for having three sync partners. And they were sync partners that he didn't even want, so he felt vexed.
