Chapter 198 - Chapter 199

"Teacher, you're here?" Karl was surprised, and then it suddenly dawned on him.

"I had thought that promoting the philosophy of the New Schools would encounter serious resistance within the Brotherhood and might take time to resolve first."

Hen was not surprised that Karl could see through his invisibility. He nodded slightly, smiling relaxedly.

He did not undo the spiritual connection between Triss and Keira and said in Karl's mind: "As expected, there was considerable resistance and doubt."

"But Tissaia helped mediate, so the implementation went much more smoothly than anticipated."

"Now, the main members of the Upper and Lower Houses have already been informed at Garstang Palace and are discussing this new school framework."

"As for the other members of the Brotherhood, it will take time for them to learn through regular information channels."

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the three unconscious dragon lizards on the ground, then looked at Karl.

"Hmm, Karl, regarding this new school of magic, when do you plan to officially announce your identity to the entire sorcerer community?"

"Currently, including myself, I know that this concept was proposed by you, and there are no more than a handful of sorcerers."

This question immediately drew the attention of Triss and Keira.

They also wanted to know whether Karl would continue to remain behind the scenes or officially announce his existence to the Magic Society.

Karl thought for a moment, his gaze sweeping over the three dragon lizards he had stunned on the grass.

He spoke slowly: "Let's wait a little longer on the identity declaration."

"At least until I finish dealing with an urgent matter – the nymph's request for help."

"The nymph's request?" You can actually contact a nymph? A look of obvious surprise appeared on Hen's face, his eyes widening slightly.

"I had thought that with the expansion of human activity and the increasing scarcity of natural environments, these beings closely tied to nature,"

"even if not completely extinct, would have long since hidden in places where ordinary people can't find them, no longer interacting with the outside world."

"It's just a coincidence. They hide well, but haven't completely cut themselves off from the world." Karl didn't think it was such a big deal.

Hen nodded, a look of reminiscence flickering in his eyes, a smile playing at the corners of his lips.

"Yes... when I was still young, the world was far... more crowded."

"In the sky, you could still see the shadows of giant dragons soaring; griffins nesting on the peaks of high mountains; and tree spirits living deep in the forests."

"And among the streams, lakes, and ancient woods, there truly lived beautiful, though sometimes eccentric, nymphs."

"Even... even those legendary unicorns, capable of traveling between worlds, pure and noble, I saw them in Loc Muinne."

Listening to the conversation between Karl and Hen, which sounded like ordinary talk but involved many magical creatures only found in legends and ancient texts,

Triss and Keira exchanged glances, unable to join the conversation. They felt like they were listening to two people from different eras who knew everything.

Among the beings Hen casually mentioned were dragons, true griffins, dryads, nymphs, and especially the world-traveling unicorns.

For them, aside from tree spirits and perhaps the vaguely familiar "griffins,"

the rest mostly remained briefly recorded on yellowed pages and crudely illustrated as fantastical creatures.

This vast gap in knowledge and experience left them no choice but to remain silent.

Then Hen brought his wandering thoughts back to reality, his gaze becoming sharp and focused.

He looked at Triss and Keira, his voice regaining its confidence: "Alright, time to get to work. Follow Karl's original plan and begin casting the spell."

"I'm here, so I can assess your current actual level."

Triss remained calm, even hoping to receive some personal guidance from a leading sorcerer like Hen.

Even a stray comment or two would be of great benefit to her. She nodded, took a deep breath, and began to concentrate.

However, Keira's state of mind was far less relaxed than Triss's, under Hen's calm gaze.

She felt as if she had returned to the time when she first studied magic, being evaluated by an academy instructor. Her palms were slightly sweaty.

As she tried to channel her magic and construct the spell, she clearly felt sluggishness and tension, far less smooth and natural than Triss.

Since Karl had returned and provided a stronger bio-field as cover, there was no need to worry about being discovered.

Triss and Keira exchanged glances, canceled their invisibility spells, and their figures once again clearly appeared in Karl and Hen's field of vision.

"Let's begin." Triss nodded slightly to Keira.

The next moment, Triss closed her eyes and focused. Her telekinesis could spread silently, like a vast net, covering all the knights and children on the nearby open field.

She did not intend to forcibly control it, but instead slowly penetrated their consciousness.

In an instant, all thirty-two people on the field froze, their eyes momentarily dazed.

But then, as if nothing had happened, they continued their previous activities.

But deep in their eyes, a flicker of concentration and heightened tension due to an approaching "real threat" appeared.

Triss influenced their perception of combat and danger, laying the foundation for Keira's magic.

Immediately after, Keira forcefully suppressed her nervousness about Hen, her hands quickly intertwining before her chest to perform complex magical gestures, quietly reciting incomprehensible incantations.

As she recited the spell, a deep blue magical light flowed from her palm.

The magic quickly spread before her like spilled paint, forming a semi-transparent, constantly writhing energy field.

This energy field rapidly spread forward, overlapping and merging with the real meadows, forests, and sky, enveloping everyone in the center of the field.

For the practitioners, the environment began to darken and distort, and the air filled with an artificial smell of blood or sulfur.

At that moment – THUD! THUD! THUD! Almost simultaneously, three dull sounds, like strikes on leather, rang out.

Karl's figure flickered at a speed impossible to capture with the naked eye.

He delivered a powerful flying kick to each of the three dragon lizards, which had just recovered from their coma and were still in a dazed state.

The three huge dragon lizards were like three stone bullets fired from a catapult, thrown by Karl.

They traced three short parabolas and landed right in the center of the field, enveloped by the illusions.

At that moment, the pain and the sudden sensation of falling through the air fully awakened the already bloodthirsty dragon lizards, plunging them into a state of frenzy.
