Chapter 1 - whisper of Ancient Arakan

Whispers of Ancient Arakan

Amina, a young Rohingya scholar, lived in a village near the ruins of old Arakan. One day, while helping her grandfather clean the attic, she found a dusty scroll hidden in an ancient chest. The scroll had strange symbols and a map, pointing to a secret city buried deep in the forests. Faded words read:

"Those who seek Arakan's truth must walk with courage and heart."

Amina's heart raced. She knew the scroll was a piece of her people's forgotten history. She shared it with her friend Tariq, and together they decided to venture into the dense jungle.

The journey was dangerous. Thick vines snagged their clothes, wild animals prowled nearby, and sudden storms made progress slow. At night, the jungle whispered, and Amina could swear she heard faint voices calling her name. But their determination to uncover Arakan's secrets kept them moving forward.

Deep inside the forest, they discovered a hidden stone temple, half-covered with moss. An old man in tattered robes appeared. He introduced himself as the guardian of Arakan's heritage and warned them:

"Many have sought this place for gold. Few come to learn its true story."

Amina realized her mission was to preserve history, not treasure. With the guardian's guidance, they explored the temple and found a hidden underground library filled with scrolls, manuscripts, and artifacts. The writings told the story of Arakan's ancient kings, the Rohingya ancestors, and their struggles.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed behind them. Treasure hunters had followed their trail, demanding the scrolls and threatening to destroy everything. Thinking fast, Amina memorized key details from the scrolls and hid them in secret compartments. Knowledge, she realized, was far more valuable than gold.

With the guardian's help, they escaped through a hidden passage, leaving the frustrated treasure hunters behind. Back in the village, Amina and Tariq shared the knowledge of the ancient city with elders and scholars.

Amina promised:

"Arakan's history will never be forgotten again. One day, the world will know our story."

Her discovery became a bridge between the past and the present, preserving the legacy of the Rohingya people. And although the jungle kept its remaining secrets, Amina knew this was only the beginning of a lifelong journey to protect her people's history.
