Chapter 390: Taking Hestia and Lili Back with Him?

Seito: "..."
Maple: "..."
Kirukiru Amou: "..."
Hestia: "..."
Lili: "..."
Wow!
Did you guys seriously spend your whole day hanging out at a brothel?! Everyone complained loudly in their heads.
These kinds of shops were completely legal on the DanMachi world. Seito never could have guessed that these boys would spend their free time exploring such places.
However, he didn't say anything to them; after all, it wasn't his job to control their free time.
Turning his head back toward Kirukiru Amou and Maple, Seito said, "Our world is exactly one week away from celebrating the New Year."
"New Year's?"
Kirukiru Amou and Maple blinked in surprise. Neither of them realized the holiday was coming so quickly.
"I'm spending the holidays with you this year," Kirukiru Amou said with a wide grin.
In past years, she had never celebrated the New Year with Seito. Both of her parents had passed away long ago, and during the holidays, she usually just stayed all by herself. Although she had a very loud, battle-loving personality, sitting alone during a big holiday was still very lonely.
This year was completely different. This year, she could welcome the New Year right beside Seito. Just thinking about it made her incredibly excited!
Unlike Kirukiru's pure excitement, Maple looked a bit worried when she heard the news. The reason was simple: she really wanted to spend the holidays with Seito, but would her parents actually say yes?
That's right! For this upcoming New Year, Maple had no desire to stay home with her parents; she really wanted to welcome her very first New Year alongside Seito now that they were officially together.
"What exactly is the New Year? Is it a special festival from your world?" Hestia asked curiously, leaning closer. Lili focused her eyes on them too, waiting for an answer.
"Yeah," Seito nodded, offering a warm smile. "The New Year is the most important traditional festival in our country, also known as the Spring Festival. On this day, families from all over gather together to celebrate a full reunion. As the saying goes, 'A new year brings a fresh start.' It's a grand day where everyone shares amazing food, joins in fun activities, and talks about daily life."
Seito's description caused Hestia and Lili to look at each other with wide, fascinated eyes.
"Oh?"
Over at the next table, Kitahara Iori poked his head over. "We're already hitting the New Year?" He hadn't felt the holiday mood at all when he was taking his live-combat exams yesterday.
"Yep. Do you boys want to drop by my place to celebrate this year?" Seito asked, turning to look at them.
Inviting Iori and the guys over was mostly to keep Sora company; after all, if his holiday party was packed with absolutely nothing but girls, the balance would look a bit too weird.
"Heck yeah, count us in!" Iori agreed right away. The rest of the Class E members shared his excitement.
Old Twenty-Eight and the older guild members wanted to come along too, but when they remembered they needed to stay home with their own parents, they reluctantly gave up the idea. It wouldn't be right for them to skip out on their own family reunions, after all.
"Can we come along with you too?" Hestia asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She had never seen an interdimensional festival before.
Hearing her goddess's bold request, Lili's eyes lit up. She really wanted to go too, but because she was just a low-ranking supporter, she hadn't dared to speak up. Hestia's question perfectly opened the door for her.
"No problem," Seito promised smoothly.
Sneaking two native people out of this world wasn't a hard task. He could simply have them wait inside his personal spatial dimension for a short time, which would easily hide them as he took them back to Earth.
"Awesome!" Hestia and Lili cheered excitedly.
Seeing their joyful reactions, Seito smiled warmly. Then, remembering another matter, he raised his head to look around the room, his eyes finally locking onto Bell Cranel.
"Bell, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to watch over the estate for a few days while we're away. Sorry about that."
It wasn't that Seito didn't want to bring Bell along. The main problem was that the boy's identity was far too sensitive. Bell was a chosen pawn heavily watched by the upper universe; if he suddenly disappeared completely from the DanMachi world, it would instantly trigger Zeus's warnings.
"It's totally fine, Lord Seito," Bell replied with a bright, honest smile. Although he didn't know the exact reasons behind his god's choice, he trusted completely that Seito would never do anything to hurt him.
"Mhm. Thank you for your hard work during this time. If life at the mansion gets too boring while we're gone, you can drop by the Hephaestus Familia or the Loki Familia to hang out. I'll make sure to clear it with them beforehand."
Looking at the pure, understanding smile on the boy's face, Seito couldn't help but sigh with admiration in his heart. As expected of one of the most famous little angels in anime history. He just wondered if the kid's innocent personality could successfully resist the chaotic, brain-rotting influence of Kitahara Iori and the boys.
"Oh? Did I just hear someone mention my name~?"
Suddenly, a familiar voice cut through the tavern's chatter, drawing everyone's attention. They watched as Loki walked into the shop, leading her core team. She turned her head, looking at Seito with a wide grin.
"Yeah. We'll be out of the world for a short time, so I was hoping you could watch over Bell for a bit," Seito stated his request directly.
"The rabbit boy?" Loki cast a brief glance toward Bell, before confidently slapping her flat chest. "Don't sweat it, leave it entirely to me!"
With that settled, she turned to address her own Familia members. "Find yourselves a spot to sit, kids."
Loki then walked straight over to Seito's table and sat down right next to him, while her team members quickly found an open table nearby and sat down.
Tap, tap, tap...~~
Right on cue, Syr and the rest of the waitresses approached their tables, carrying large trays packed with steaming dishes.
"Please enjoy your meal~" Syr offered a sweet smile before turning back toward the counter.
Seito picked up his chopsticks and called out, "Alright, let's dig in, everyone!" The group didn't stay polite and immediately began eating their dinner.
By nine in the evening, the party had completely finished. Seito and his group said goodbye to Loki and began their walk back toward their base. Ten minutes later, they arrived at the estate and headed into their own rooms.
Inside the main house, Seito sat back on the living room couch, taking a slow sip of coffee.
"Seito-kun, how has Sally been doing lately?" Maple walked over and sat down right next to him, asking curiously. She had been texting with her best friend during this time, but since she couldn't see her in person, she wanted to check how she was doing.
"She's doing great," Seito looked at her and laughed. "You and Sally really are exactly the same. Every time I see her, she asks me how you're doing, and the second you see me, you ask about her."
"Eh? Is that true?" Maple blinked, her face freezing in a daze.
With the New Year party just a week away on Earth, what kind of funny trouble do you want to see Kitahara Iori and the boys cause once they get back to the apartment to decorate?
....
