Chapter 314: Resurrecting Gods and Pseudo-Gods! Resolving the Fate of Disboard!
....
Down on Disboard, inside Elkia, the capital city of Imanity.
The sudden arrival of a whole group of beings radiating intense divine pressure made every living creature across the planet freeze and look up.
Due to the fundamental laws of Disboard, every species on this world had the natural ability to sense divine beings. The reason was simple: except for humanity, every single one of the sixteen races had been directly created by a specific Old Deus. Sensing a god's presence was built into their very nature.
As for humanity... they were a complete exception. Just like the Old Deus and the Phantasma, humans were a natural race born from the natural evolution of the world itself. Because of this, they had a few unique sensory traits of their own.
However, that was as far as their special traits went. If fragile humans got too close to raw divine energy, the overwhelming force would still crush them instantly.
Paying no attention to the panicking crowds below, Seito flew down through the atmosphere and smoothly entered the royal palace's grand throne room.
The rest of the gods kept a tight formation, following right behind him.
Inside the palace, seeing Seito and his group step through space, the three queens immediately stood up and walked over.
"God-King," they greeted in unison, their voices filled with deep respect.
"At ease. Sit down," Seito said with a wave of his hand, stepping past them to take his place on the royal throne.
Seeing him take his seat, the surrounding gods used their power to float comfortably in mid-air throughout the hall.
Meanwhile, Jibril, her two Flugel sisters, and Schwi stepped back to the edges of the room to keep watch.
Looking over the powerful group gathered before him, Seito turned his attention to Sora.
"Sora, use the Star Grail to bring back all the Old Deus and Phantasma who were killed during the war."
"Got it!" Sora nodded crisply, immediately activating the glowing Star Grail.
Sora was already recognized as an active god by the world's system. Furthermore, the Star Grail had been completely restored, meaning it no longer required complex trials or tests before accepting commands.
"Global restoration: bring all native Old Deus and Phantasma killed in the war back to full health!"
Sora fed the command directly into the Grail while channeling a steady stream of divine energy into it.
The Star Grail lit up instantly, casting a brilliant, sacred light across the entire throne room.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh——!
Within seconds, all the master gods who had fallen during the brutal battles materialized in the room, their energy completely restored.
The moment they came back to life, they frantically looked around. Seeing the Fatui and the three foreign queens nearby, their instincts immediately kicked in, and they raised their powers to prepare for battle.
"Stand down. The war is already over," Tet said smoothly from the side, stepping forward to stop them.
"Who won?" Artosh, the God of War, demanded instantly. His booming voice shook the heavy stone pillars of the hall as his golden eyes locked onto Tet.
Tet replied simply: "Their side."
The resurrected gods went dead silent.
A total defeat...
A heavy silence settled over the native gods. Even though they had calculated a high chance of losing before they died, hearing the truth out loud still left a bitter taste in their mouths.
"Where are the Dragonia?" Amou asked, looking around the crowded room and frowning slightly when she didn't see them.
"They're outside," Seito answered calmly.
Amou nodded softly, satisfied with the answer. Since the bodies of the Dragonia were far too large to fit inside the palace, the system had automatically revived them on the wide plaza outside.
With a flick of his right hand, Seito opened a tear in space directly in front of the throne.
Instantly, the Three Dragon Kings were pulled into the room—though their bodies had been shrunk down to a fraction of their original size.
"Pfft~! Aren't those just tiny lizards?"
Seeing the legendary Dragon Kings reduced to pint-sized creatures, Maple couldn't help herself and burst into a cheerful laugh.
The second she spoke, the tense mood in the room completely broke.
"Pfft~!"
"Ahem! Hahaha!"
"Lizards? Wow, now that you mention it, they really do look like lizards!"
The gathered gods burst into laughter. Even the native gods of Disboard couldn't help but smile—especially Tet, whose laughter was the loudest in the whole room!
Although the Three Dragon Kings didn't quite understand what was happening, they could feel the suffocating pressure coming from Seito on the throne, so they didn't dare make a sound.
A faint smile appeared on Seito's face as well. It was true—after being shrunk down, the Dragon Kings looked just like small lizards, so it was completely fair that Maple blurted it out.
"Alright, that's enough," Seito coughed softly after a moment, calling the room back to order.
Hearing his signal, everyone stopped laughing and turned their full attention back to the throne.
The newly revived gods of Disboard also stared at Seito, their eyes filled with intense curiosity and underlying fear. The pure density of the power radiating from him was far beyond Tet's maximum strength—something that deeply shocked them.
Tet was already at the absolute peak of the standard Deity realm. For Seito to stand so far above him meant his rank could only be...
The moment that realized hit them, the native gods were completely stunned.
"First, let's settle how Disboard will be ruled from now on," Seito began, his voice calm. "While the standard rules of a Divine War don't explicitly spell out a total takeover, still..."
He let his voice trail off, leaving the rest unsaid.
His meaning, however, was crystal clear to everyone in the room.
During the war, every major divine force on Disboard had been wiped out, leaving only Tet and Holou standing. Even together, they had no way to stop Seito's faction. Naturally, now that the game was over, control of the planet belonged to Seito. It was the unwritten, absolute law of war.
Everyone understood this reality. Even Tet accepted it without argument; after all, they had lost, and facts were facts.
Turning his gaze to Tet, Seito asked: "Tet, can you split your authority over the world and transfer 50% of Disboard's core control to Sora?"
A primary World God had the ability to slice and share their authority with another god. This was a technical detail both Seito and Tet knew well.
"I have no problem with that," Tet replied with a relaxed, genuinely warm smile.
Had it been any other invading force demanding his power, Tet would have fought to the end before giving up an inch. But Sora was different. After all, Sora shared his same identity as a fellow God of Games. With Sora co-ruling the world, Tet's life would finally be free from the crushing boredom that had plagued him for thousands of years.
Seeing Tet agree so easily, Seito inwardly let out a brief sigh of relief. Truth be told, he held no hard feelings toward Tet. While it was true that most gods across the universe viewed mortals as nothing more than livestock, Tet was an exceptionally rare, honorable god who truly kept his promises. Otherwise, he never would have gone to such lengths to rebuild the world around the "Ten Covenants."
"Now, here is my plan for the next phase," Seito continued, his tone becoming firm and decisive.
"The imperial soldiers of the Snezhnaya Empire will not remain stationed on Disboard permanently. Moving forward, the management, territory, and defense of the human Kingdom of Elkia will be handed over entirely to the Fatui Guild!"
The standing army couldn't stay here forever. Their homes and families were rooted back on the Endless Continent.
Permanently marooning them across dimensions with no clear return date would ruin their morale. Thus, leaving them here long-term was out of the question.
The Harbingers nodded in agreement.
Leaving the day-to-day management and expansion of the kingdom to the efficient members of the Fatui Guild was the most logical solution available.
Besides... if they didn't set up a permanent terminal on this world for the Guild, the newly recruited God of Doubt, Holou, would probably complain!
After all, the speed and chaotic creativity of those internet users back on Earth when answering her endless existential questions was something no one in the cosmos could ever match!
