Chapter 230: Giving the Chaos Godhead to Shiro; The 52nd Floor is a Complete Ruin?

....

"This is..."

Before his eyes lay a landscape of total devastation.

Vast ruins sprawled across the dust; everything that had once been sheltered beneath them was crushed in the collapse. On the craggy cliffs, the destruction was stark and silent—a desolate, monochromatic gray.

No survivors, no signs of life.

This was the state of the 52nd Floor.

"Awoo—!!"

At that moment, sensing Seito's arrival, a wolf-headed man let out a feral howl and charged at him with maddened intensity.

"Space Dragon's Breath!"

Seito opened his mouth, unleashing a surging wave of energy that struck the wolf-man dead-on, vaporizing him instantly. Not even a speck of dust remained.

"Brother Seito~!"

From behind him came Shiro's soft, melodic voice. Seito turned to see the siblings walking toward him from the direction of the Boss Labyrinth.

"So this is the 52nd Floor?" Sora asked, scanning the horizon to get a feel for the environment.

"Yeah," Seito nodded. "It's even more dilapidated than the 51st. It looks like there's zero life left here."

On the 51st floor, one could at least make out the skeletal outlines of a city. But here on the 52nd, Seito couldn't recognize a single structure; it was just a sea of rubble.

"By the way, what was the 51st-floor Boss like?" Sora withdrew his gaze and turned to Seito. Since neither he nor Shiro had entered the Labyrinth yet, they were in the dark about the encounter.

"The 51st-floor Boss is called the Demonic Ghost Eye. It's a Pseudo-God," Seito replied.

"A Pseudo-God?"

The siblings froze. Just hearing that title was enough to tell them how special the Boss was.

"Any being that fails to condense their Godhead but ends up with a fractured one is classified as a Pseudo-God," Seito explained.

The two nodded as the pieces clicked into place.

"Brother Seito~ did the Boss drop anything good?" Shiro asked, tugging gently at the hem of his clothes.

"It did."

Seito pulled out the Chaos Godhead Fragment. "This was the reward for the solo first kill—a Chaos Godhead Fragment!"

"This...!!"

Sora and Shiro's eyes widened in astonishment. They stared fixedly at the fragment in Seito's palm, their minds racing with possibilities. If killing a Pseudo-God granted Godhead fragments, it meant they finally had a clear path to divinity.

The siblings grew visibly excited.

Seeing their reaction, Seito asked seriously, "Sora, Shiro—how do you two plan on achieving godhood?"

The siblings exchanged a glance. After a few seconds, Sora spoke first. "The first method. The second one doesn't suit us."

"While we could choose the second path—waiting for you to ascend first and then help us—the data suggests that Divine Power is far too critical for us right now."

Sora's logic was simple: while Seito could theoretically transfer Divine Power, it was a precious resource. Unless absolutely necessary, Seito shouldn't have to dilute his own strength by transferring it away.

Seito nodded in agreement.

"Brother Seito, give that Godhead to me," Shiro said, raising her small hand.

Seito lowered his head in thought for a moment before handing the Chaos Godhead Fragment to her. "Here."

In truth, the most compatible Godhead for Shiro would likely be a Mechanical Godhead, but the Chaos attribute wasn't a bad fit either. Outside of technology-based divinity, Chaos was arguably the next best thing for her.

Shiro took the fragment, her expression brightening with joy, and immediately began to absorb it. Seito and Sora stood by in quiet vigil.

Ten minutes later...

The fragment slowly dissipated into light, and Shiro's beautiful eyes fluttered open.

"How do you feel?" Seito asked.

"It's strange~" Shiro flexed her hands. "I feel a change deep within my body, but I can't quite put it into words."

Seito understood; it sounded very similar to his own experience when he first used a fragment.

Sora, seeing his sister's stable condition, turned back to Seito with a solemn expression. "Seito, you need to reach godhood as soon as possible."

"Why do you say that?" Seito asked, confused.

Sora explained patiently, "The 51st-floor Boss was a Pseudo-God who failed his ascension. But you have to remember—that was only the 51st floor."

"If we keep going up, there's no guarantee that the higher floors won't be guarded by true, complete deities!"

Seito stiffened, then fell into deep thought. Sora was right; he hadn't considered that perspective. If a Pseudo-God was already guarding the 51st floor, it was highly probable that genuine gods awaited them further up.

"Thanks, Sora. I might have overlooked that if you hadn't mentioned it." Seito smiled.

"Don't worry about it," Sora waved it off. "But listen, you've been at this all night. Don't you think you should log off and get some rest?"

"Shiro and I are about to crash too. We stayed up all night waiting for you to finish."

Sora rubbed his eyes, his dark circles quite prominent.

"Yeah," Seito nodded. "Let's log off together."

Seito's Bedroom.

Removing his gaming helmet, Seito opened his slightly bloodshot eyes. No matter how powerful he was in the game, he was still human in the real world. Once he became a god, he wouldn't need to eat, drink, or sleep, but for now, fatigue was real.

"I really envy those cultivation characters," Seito mused. In cultivation novels, even a practitioner at the Foundation

Establishment stage could go without food or sleep. While they certainly weren't as strong as he was now, their biological systems were far more convenient.

He pulled the blanket over himself and closed his eyes. His consciousness blurred, and he quickly drifted into a deep, dreamless slumber.

3:30 PM.

Click.

The front door to Seito's house opened, and Amou and Kanade walked in together. They headed straight for Seito's bedroom, where they found him still fast asleep.
