Chapter 136: Performance Over, Merfolk and Elves?

"As expected of you!" Iori Kitahara gave a massive thumbs-up. This guy was a high-tier pervert through and through.
"Keep it on the down-low~" Seito replied, looking strangely proud of his "gentlemanly" status.
Ten minutes later...
The performance concluded. Within moments, the clip of μ's original song was blasted across the internet by "sand sculpture" netizens. Back in the auditorium, the song was already playing on a loop over the speakers.
Seito, ever the professional host, stepped back onto the stage and moved to the center of the girls, raising his microphone.
"Everyone, gather around me for a second."
The audience and the live stream viewers were puzzled. The nine girls of μ's weren't sure what he was up to either, but they complied, crowding in close. Seito began his closing remarks:
"The performance has officially ended. I hope all the viewers in the live stream will respond to Sobu High's recruitment drive. Campus life here is wonderful, and as you can see, the girls are exceptionally beautiful. This live recruitment concert is now a wrap!"
He let out a long breath. The chat erupted in laughter.
"Hahaha, gotta admit, Sobu High School looks great."
"Brother, you're only seeing the surface."
"Oh? Explain."
"Just watch—every high school in the country is about to start 'involution' (intense competition) after this."
That comment hit the nail on the head. At that very moment, countless high schools watching the broadcast were already panicking. They were frantically brainstorming: We need pretty girls! High-visual guys! Original songs! Whatever it takes to out-hustle the competition! Little did they know that the trend of university-level marketing would start at the high school level because of one boy.
On stage, Seito glanced at the buzzing crowd and raised the mic one last time. "By the way, don't get any ideas about these nine girls. They are all my 'Wings'~"
The teachers: "..."
The viewers: "..."
A few seconds of silence followed before the male students of Sobu High started roaring.
"Holy crap! Junior, are you trying to starve the rest of us?"
"Do you have 'Social Lethality'? How can you say that with a straight face!"
"Respect, respect~"
"Is this the legendary Patriarch of Players?"
"Master, I am enlightened."
The conversation quickly spiraled into "unprofessional" territory, but since everyone assumed he was joking, they began to file out of the hall in an orderly fashion. Seito just smiled. They thought he was joking, but the truth was a different story.
Beside him, several members of μ's had bright red faces. But of course, the veteran "driver" of the group had to chime in.
"Junior, you're quite brave, wanting to take all of us at once~" Nozomi Tojo teased.
"Senior, we are kindred spirits!" Seito said with a straight face.
"Oh?" Nozomi looked curious. "How so?"
"We both love 'driving' (telling dirty jokes) fast cars~"
"Eh? You're right~" Nozomi chuckled. "But I like big cars; they're more comfortable~ What do you think of our Student Council President?"
"Very impressive~"
As the two veteran "drivers" veered the conversation into NSFW territory, the people around them turned beet red. Eli Ayase, the Student Council President, was practically steaming. Having the "car" driven right over her was too much!
"Enough! Both of you, shut up!" Eli barked, her face crimson. Seito and Nozomi locked eyes and shared a devious smirk, making Eli even angrier.
Finally, Seito changed the subject. "Alright, Seniors, I'll see you tonight."
"I remember you're becoming King tonight, right?" Nozomi recalled.
"That's right." Seito nodded. He had to go prep. Becoming a Tsar was a world-class event.
"Then we'll teleport to Snezhnaya as soon as we get home," Honoka Kousaka said with a giggle.
After bidding them farewell, Seito exited the hall to find Kirukiru Amou, Kanade Tachibana, and Yukino Yukinoshita waiting for him.
The four of them headed home quickly. After a quick dinner, Seito, Amou, and Kanade retreated to the bedroom and logged back into the game.
Snezhnaya Empire, Main City (30th Floor).
Appearing in the palace, Seito opened the Fatui private channel.
[Sei: Haruno, what are the immigration numbers today?]
[SunnyCat: Sixty million! Forty million humans, ten million Beast-kin. The Merfolk and Elven races didn't experience chaos, but their entire tribes moved to Snezhnaya. Also, the Snow Queen brought all the Snow Maidens of the 30th floor to the capital.]
[Sei: Where are the Merfolk and Elven Queens? I want to meet them.]
Two entire races had moved in. Seito knew he had to receive their leaders personally. He hadn't expected such legendary races to join a brand-new empire, especially one that had only existed for a few hours.
