Chapter 128: Pervert-kun, What Were You Doing in My Sister's Room Yesterday Afternoon?

The entire class was dumbfounded. Acts of heroism? What kind of lame excuse was that?
Shizuka Hiratsuka waved her hand helplessly. "Fine, just go back to your seat." She felt that if she let him continue, he'd completely derail her lecture, so it was best to shut it down now.
Seito strolled back to his desk, sat down, and promptly collapsed onto it to sleep. The entire morning passed in a blink.
Lunchtime!
Awakened by the noisy chatter of the classroom, Seito sat up and stretched. Seeing it was time to eat, he grabbed his bento and walked over to the desks of Kaede Honjou and Risa Shiramine.
Placing his lunchbox down, he flashed a smile. "I'll eat here today, but I need to go grab Kanade first." The two girls nodded in unison.
A few moments later, Seito entered Class A. He spotted Kanade Tachibana just as she was opening her bento. "Kanade, let's go eat in my classroom," he called out, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.
Kanade closed her lid, stood up with her bento, and followed him back to Class D. Once there, Seito pulled up two chairs and made himself at home. "Sit down, Kanade. I made some Twice-Cooked Pork this morning; let's share."
As they opened their lunchboxes, the savory, spicy aroma of the pork wafted through the air, causing several students to turn their heads in envy.
"Seito-kun, your cooking skills are amazing!" Risa's eyes lit up at the sight of the glistening meat. Without standing on ceremony, she reached out with her chopsticks and snagged a piece. "Mmm~!"
Spicy, fresh, savory, and perfectly balanced. It was so good she wanted to cry.
"Kaede, you should try some too," Seito said, looking at the shy girl next to him.
"Then... just a little bit..." Kaede's face flushed pink as she gingerly took a bite. Her large, beautiful eyes widened. It was delicious! The aftertaste was incredible.
Seeing this, Seito turned back to Kanade.
"Kanade, I have a special way of eating this. Want to try?"
"Mm~" Kanade thought for a second. "Yes!"
Seito proceeded to dump his pork and rice directly into her Mapo Tofu, mixing it all together thoroughly with his chopsticks.
"Give it a taste."
Kanade took a bite. The silkiness of the tofu combined with the richness of the pork and the steaming rice, all elevated by the numbing spice—it took the flavor profile to a whole new level. As she ate, a small smile played on her lips, a sign she was in an excellent mood.
The two of them sharing a single lunchbox made Kaede and Risa exchange a meaningful glance. Nearby, Yukino Yukinoshita also witnessed the display. The memory of the "noises" from yesterday afternoon flashed in her mind, and her eyes grew resentful.
Unfortunately, her personality wouldn't allow her to back down or act cute, so she could only wait for Seito to approach her first. Kaede, seeing the intimacy between the two, felt a small pang of loneliness—a detail Risa caught immediately, though she said nothing.
Seito noticed Kaede's slight slump. Being the experienced "gentleman" he was, he understood the feeling. "Kaede, why don't you join us?"
"Eh?" Kaede froze, her face turning a deep crimson. "I... I understand." Her voice was tiny as she picked up her chopsticks and ate. She kept her head down, hiding her expression from the others.
Seito reached out and gently patted her head. So cute... he thought. Kaede felt the warmth of his hand and turned as red as an apple, not daring to look up.
When she finally peeked up, she saw Risa smiling mischievously while pointing in a certain direction. Kaede followed the gesture and saw Yukino glaring at her with a look of extreme dissatisfaction. When Yukino realized she'd been spotted, she quickly looked away.
By now, anyone with eyes could see that Yukino (and her sister Haruno) had complicated feelings for Seito.
After School.
The rest of the day was peaceful. Seito spent his time chatting with Kaede and Risa until the final bell rang. He woke up from his afternoon nap, stretched, and looked over at Yukino. She was just about to leave, so he followed her out.
Yukino glanced at him but said nothing, letting him trail behind. They met Kanade at the door of Class A, and the trio left the academy together.
As they walked along the street, the silence was heavy. Finally, Yukino couldn't hold it in any longer. She turned to him, her voice cool but sharp.
"Pervert-kun, what exactly were you doing in my sister's room yesterday afternoon?"
"..."
