Chapter 1 - ...Unknown message...

....Chapter Title: Unknown Message...

The night was quiet, almost unnervingly so. The wind whispered softly through the trees outside, and the moon cast a dim, silver light across the room. Ariba sat on the edge of her bed, her phone in hand, scrolling absentmindedly through old messages. Life had been normal, predictable—until tonight.

A sudden notification pinged on her phone.

"One new message."

Curious, she unlocked the screen. The sender was unknown. No name, no number she recognized—just a blank, empty profile. The message read:

"Are you ready to know the truth?"

Ariba frowned. Was it a joke? Some prank sent by a friend trying to scare her? She stared at the screen, the words almost glowing in the dim light.

Moments passed, and still, she held the phone tightly, her heartbeat quickening. Something about the message felt… different.

Before she could respond, another notification appeared:

"Time is short. You will understand soon."

Her pulse raced. She tried calling the number, but it wouldn't connect. Number not available.

A chill ran down her spine. She looked around the room, half-expecting to see someone watching her. The shadows seemed darker than usual tonight, stretching long across the walls.

She shook her head, trying to convince herself it was just her imagination. I'm overthinking this, she whispered to herself. But deep down, a small voice told her that something strange was about to happen.

Ariba decided to ignore the messages, placing the phone beside her. She attempted to read a book, to distract herself, but every sentence blurred as her mind wandered back to the mysterious texts.

Then came a soft sound—a whisper, almost too faint to hear. It seemed to come from outside the window. She froze. The whisper repeated:

"Are you ready?"

Ariba's breath caught. She stood up and slowly walked to the window, pulling the curtain aside. The street below was empty, bathed in the pale glow of the streetlights. Nothing unusual. Yet, the feeling of being watched persisted.

She backed away, shaking her head. It's impossible. No one is there.

Her phone buzzed again. Another message:

"This is only the beginning."

Ariba's hands trembled. Her mind raced with questions: Who was sending these messages? Why her? What truth were they talking about?

Suddenly, she remembered the old diary she had found in her room a few days ago. She hadn't thought much about it at the time, but now, with the strange messages and the feeling of unseen eyes, it seemed important. The diary had belonged to someone in her family, but the pages were filled with cryptic notes and symbols she couldn't understand.

Could it be connected? Could the messages somehow relate to the diary?

The night grew darker, and the wind outside intensified, rattling the windows. Ariba wrapped her arms around herself, feeling both scared and inexplicably curious. She realized she could no longer ignore the messages.

Something big was happening. Something that would change her life forever. And deep down, Ariba felt a strange excitement. The fear was mixed with anticipation.

She picked up her phone again, determined to respond. She typed slowly, carefully:

"Who is this? What truth?"

But before she could send it, the phone screen flickered and went black.

Her heart pounded in her chest. The room felt colder now, almost alive with unseen presence. And somewhere, in the darkness, Ariba knew that her ordinary life was over.

The messages were not just random words. They were a warning. A guide. And a beginning.

This night marked the start of a journey she could never have imagined—a journey filled with mystery, danger, and secrets that had waited decades to be revealed.

Ariba didn't know who to trust. She didn't know what to expect. But one thing was certain: her life had changed forever. And whatever awaited her, it would begin with a single question:

Are you ready to know the truth?
