The white-robe swordsman shrunk into a small flying bat.
Carter took flight and bolted in the air. His eyesight was horrible. Everything was blurry and colorless. But his hearing was supreme.
A 3D map of the surrounding area appeared in his head, painted by the chaotic sound traveling in the air.
'Sonar Echolocation… I see.'
He flew around in the area and used his Sonar Echolocation to locate the remainder of the Primers.
There were a total of seven Primers arriving at Terrorstate including him.
Three were Alan, Nina, and Quill.
One nameless Primer was killed by him.
Carter had located the remaining two. One was a brute in the same gang as Alan.
Once he noticed him, Carter approached the Primer. He transformed back to the Terror Wolf in mid-air.
[TERROR WOLF EQUIPPED]
The other Primer had a machete on his hand. He had just finished a few weak Terrors.
Terrors were fragile supernatural beings. The Terror that Carter met wasn't that dangerous at all. The tricky thing about them was the aura from Terror Form, which could render any mortal useless.
If they could ignore the fear caused by the aura, killing Terrors would be easy. That was also the reason why some Cyber Slaves managed to survive Terrorstate and returned to Cyber Runner.
The Primer was soaked in blood. Suddenly, he heard the wind behind him.
As he turned back, a large red dog fell on him and pushed him to the ground.
The Primer swung his machete at the red dog, "Die you piece of shit!"
Carter bit his wrist clean off. The machete fell on the floor, causing metal noises.
The Primer screamed in pain. He grabbed the dog's neck, trying to break it.
Carter slipped through his gasp and bit at his neck. A devastating bite that cut off his arteries. Blood splashed out like a water fountain.
The Primer struggled to bounce Carter off him. But he didn't have time. After a few seconds, his mind went blank and his arms flailed to the ground.

The gained synchronization percentage was less than before but was still a notable amount.
Carter was full of blood. For some reason, the taste of human meat was extra delicious when he was the Terror Wolf.
'I wonder…'
Carter followed his instinct. He didn't turn the Primer into a skin shard. Instead, he ate the corpse.

Carter feasted the entire corpse. There was only blood left on the ground. The Terror Wolf felt stronger and more alive than ever.
'12.9% of increase. Killing humans isn't the only way. Eating them is also one.'
Carter rushed away from the scene and turned back to the Terror Bat. He took flight once again.
Because of his innate ability, True Psychopathy, he didn't feel a thing after the evil he had just commited. For him, he was just playing a character, acting a scene, and finishing a script.
Carter quickly located the last Primer. She was the second female in the group, alongside Nina.
Carter found her hiding inside a house. This house was not empty. There was a family there.
Carter flew from the small air vent of the second floor. He went past the bedroom, where three bloody corpses scattered on the ground.
The last Primer hid inside the bathroom. She crawled inside a bathtub and curled there. She had been here before and was waiting for the night to pass.
Carter turned back to the Terror Wolf. He stood at the bathroom door and scratched at it.
The last Primer shuddered. She covered her mouth and held her breath. She had killed everyone inside this house. Whatever out there wasn't human.
The scratching noise went on for a few minutes before stopping.
The Primer stayed still for a little more. Once she was sure it had left, she popped her head above the bathtub and looked at the door. The moonlight shined through the small crack beneath the bathroom door.
There was no shadow underneath.
'It probably left…' The Primer told herself.
She turned around and saw a red wolf with six eyes staring at her.
The Primer jerked back. She screamed at the top of her lungs before the wolf lunged at her.

Carter left the bathroom right after and returned to the bloody bedroom.
These people were killed by the Primer. Leaving them alone would be a waste. So Carter continued to feast.

'82%... The Terror Wolf shot up to my highest Synchronization skin. Killing and eating a few more humans would be enough to max my Synchronization.'
A faint electricity enveloped the wolf as it changed back into the System Ghost.
Carter examined the Synchronization of his current skins.

'I have made great progress in just a single night…'
The sun was rising in the far East. The bloody opening of his life in this world was coming to an end.
'System Ghost is really difficult to raise synchronization. But I have a solution for that…'
In his hand were two Cyber Cores that he had taken from the two Primers he had eaten. There were supposed to be more but they disappeared when he turned their hosts into skin shards.
There was also another Cyber Core on Quill's body, which he could take at a later time.
The faceless man sat down on the bed. Carter had three Cyber Cores in total, one was from Nina that he already hacked.
The System Ghost hacked the remaining two Cyber Cores.

Once he finished overdrive and took control of the Cyber Cores, the sun had risen and life returned to the land.
The Terrors were nowhere left to be seen and the humans went out of hiding.
Nina stood on a balcony and felt the air of freedom in her face. She hadn't felt it for a long time.
The girl noticed a familiar face stumbling on the ground.
"Quill? How did he survive?"
