Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Second immortal and a crazy System

While still rubbing her throbbing forehead where Scathach's merciless finger had struck like a whip, Elara muttered with a wry, defiant smile,

"Master… you're as savage as I remember you to be."

Scathach remained seated regally on the wide, luxurious sofa in her grand chamber, one elegant leg crossed over the other.

She held a delicate teacup in her hand, the steam curling lazily upward. Her blood-red eyes lifted with a raised eyebrow, radiating both amusement and ancient authority. The simple motion caused her full, heavy breasts to shift subtly beneath her dark attire, the deep curve of her cleavage catching the soft light of the room.

Her powerful yet shapely thighs pressed together, the firm swell of her ass sinking comfortably into the cushions, every inch of her voluptuous, muscular body exuding effortless dominance and raw sensuality.

"Okay, fine… I admit it was my fault for not warning you beforehand," Elara said, placing a hand on her hip in that familiar rebellious pose.

"But you never answered any of my calls or messages! How else was I supposed to contact you, huh?"

Scathach took a slow, graceful sip of her tea, her crimson lips curving slightly. "I don't even know where that infernal device is half the time, and I have no intention of carrying it with me everywhere I go. You should have written a proper letter. It was far more civilized and convenient."

Elara rolled her eyes dramatically, her silver hair swaying with the motion.

"Yeah, right — who's going to deliver a letter across thousands of kilometers of ocean? That's just a massive waste of time."

She paused, then added with a huff, "And where's your secretary? Wasn't it her job to handle all these things for you?"

Scathach gave a soft, dismissive huff, the sound surprisingly adorable coming from such a legendary figure.

"I fired the new one this week. She was nothing but a timid little cat — always trembling and avoiding eye contact. I have no use for cowards." Her blood-red eyes narrowed with clear disdain.

Elara sighed deeply and finally dropped down onto the sofa beside her master. The cushions dipped under her weight as she sat close enough that the warmth of Scathach's powerful, curvaceous body radiated against her own.

Elara's ample breasts shifted softly with the motion, while her firm ass settled comfortably into the seat, her soft thighs brushing lightly against Scathach's thicker, more muscular ones.

"Okay… jokes aside," Elara said, her voice turning serious, the playful delinquent fading away, "I really need your help, Master. This is grave."

Scathach's expression shifted instantly. A spark of genuine amusement and curiosity lit up her scarlet gaze. It was rare — exceedingly rare — for her number one disciple to come seeking assistance so openly.

Elara took a deep breath, her golden eyes darkening with remembered fury, and began recounting the nightmare in vivid detail: the sudden, devastating attack — the pitch-black lightning bolt that had struck her son without warning, nearly claiming his life in an instant.

She described every horrifying specific, every clue she had desperately chased across the entire Sariel continent, only to come up empty-handed. Even her sister's extensive network of spies, now scouring the other continents, had returned with nothing but silence and frustration.

In a low, deadly serious tone, she continued,

"I think it's the work of some immortal-level being. But the real questions are… how, why, and who?"

She paused, her voice growing heavier.

"As far as I remember the other immortals of this world — one is a carefree sorceress who only loves to experiment with her spells and play mischievous tricks on people. She wouldn't do something like this, not seriously. And the other one is currently in the beastmen nation, Therionis. He's nothing but a brute maniac with no reason to target my son or me."

Scathach listened in silence, her piercing scarlet eyes narrowing thoughtfully. She slowly placed a slender finger against her chin, the motion causing her full, heavy breasts to rise and shift enticingly beneath her dark attire.

After a moment, Scathach spoke, her velvety voice calm yet laced with the weight of centuries.

"As far as I know, there is no one in this world who holds any real animosity toward you or the Humanitus world. And if it were some outsider who managed to slip in…"

She tapped her finger lightly against her chin. "She would have detected their presence long ago. Her magic barrier is still fully active around the entire world."

Elara's expression changed in an instant. Her words were slow, deliberate, and dripping with venom.

"Please, Master… help me find the actual attacker. I want the one who dared harm my son, to die by my own hands."

Scathach's scarlet eyes softened with understanding as she studied her favorite disciple. She knew Elara better than anyone.

Once the culprit was found, her silver-haired warrioress would erase their entire existence without hesitation. And in Scathach's opinion, that was exactly the right thing to do. Mercy invited future enemies. Ruthlessness ensured they would never dare underestimate her again.

"I'll personally search for the perpetrator of this cowardly attack," Scathach declared, her velvety voice carrying absolute confidence. "And if that elusive witch Medea is involved in any way… I'll drag her to you myself, Or if she isn't she could also help us."

Medea — the greatest sorceress in the entire Humanitus world. A true genius unmatched in ancient magic, curses, forbidden rituals, and deadly poisons. She was the second immortal of their world.

As the world's second immortal level being, she existed beyond the reach of time itself—an eternal enigma whose knowledge spanned forgotten eras and whose power continued to deepen with every passing century. Legends spoke of her as both a savior and a calamity, a woman capable of reshaping fate with a mere incantation.

Elara's tense shoulders visibly relaxed. A deep breath escaped her lips, causing her ample breasts to rise and fall heavily within the elegant confines of her dress. Relief washed over her golden eyes like sunlight breaking through storm clouds.

"Thank you, Master…" she whispered sincerely. "With both you and Medea helping me, I'm confident we'll drag that bastard out into the light soon."

The heavy atmosphere in the room finally eased. Elara leaned back into the sofa, her soft, powerful thighs pressing together as her firm, rounded ass settled deeper into the cushions. A small, playful smile returned to her lips as she decided to lighten the mood with the second reason for her visit.

"By the way… my baby is getting engaged next week," she said, her voice turning warm and almost girlish. "He's marrying a sweet little girl named Mira Ousia. She's gentle, talented, and truly cares for him. So, Master… you're officially invited. Please come and bless my son. It wouldn't feel right without you there."

Scathach's gaze warmed as she looked at her disciple — the girl she had once forged into a warrior, now a proud mother. "Very well. I suppose I can leave this island for once in a while."

Shin lay stretched out on his massive king-size luxurious bed, staring intensely at the ceiling for the past ten minutes. Even though the Soulmate ritual with Emily had settled comfortably, he wasn't in the mood to rest at all. The possibilities swirling in his mind made his excitement grow stronger the more he thought about them.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations host for completing the requirements to awaken the Sin System.]

[Awakening conditions: Get two soulmates for yourself.]

[Completed]

[Initializing the Sin System...]

A cold, emotionless female voice rang out in his head.

'I thought being the only son of Elara Silverheart and having beautiful, powerful girls around me was already the ultimate golden finger in this life. I was happy and satisfied with that. But I was wrong… the thrill of having a real System is on another level.'

[Sin System fully activated to assist the host on his journey.]

'System, first of all, are you the same kind of system I read about back on Earth? Tell me about yourself.'

Shin spoke to the System inside his mind, just like in every fantasy novel he'd read. Talking out loud to an invisible entity would have been too embarrassing.

[Affirmative, host. I do not have access to your past life memories, but I am familiar with systems from those novels. I can be considered similar, though my functions make me far more unique and tailored for you.]

'Ohh… so the system doesn't know about my past lives?'

[The Sin System can guide you to become the strongest in the world or the most influential figure alive. If you wish, you can even stand among the Gods.]

Shin's eyes sparkled with growing excitement as he sat up slightly on the bed.

'System, explain more. What exactly can you do? What is a "Sin System"?

[Ding!]

[Sin System Overview initializing…]

[Core Concept: The Sin System draws power from the Seven Deadly Sins — Lust, Greed, Pride, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, and Sloth. Every desire you indulge, every taboo you break, and every sin you commit will generate Sin Points (SP). However, only the assigned targets, also known as Destined Heroines, are counted to give you Sin Points. The way they feel about you and the actions they do for you will be counted only.]

[Unlike ordinary power systems, the stronger the emotions and devotion your Destined Heroines feel towards you, and the more they indulge in you, the greater the rewards you will receive.]

[These points can be used to strengthen yourself, unlock powerful abilities and rewards, dominate others, and ultimately ascend beyond mortal limits.]

[The more boldly you indulge in your sins, the greater the rewards. Moderation is… not recommended.]

Shin's pulse quickened with thrill. This was even more perfect than he had imagined.

'Show me my status.'
