Chapter 49 - Chapter 51 Sonko’s Return

The estate had returned to calm after the wedding and Kenty's redemption. David and Precious had settled into married life, their bond stronger than ever. The estate buzzed with new energy as Precious's father entrusted them with overseeing family wealth and business ventures. Prosperity seemed to be unfolding before them, a reward for patience, courage, and unity.

But peace was only temporary.

Sonko's shadow had vanished after the confrontation, yet obsession and unresolved desire had not left him. He had disappeared for weeks, traveling through forgotten paths, studying ancient arts, and learning spells that could influence memory and perception. His mind teetered on the edge of genius and madness, driven by the one constant thought: Kenty.

One evening, as the family gathered for a quiet dinner, a strange chill filled the room. The lights flickered, shadows twisting unnaturally across the walls. Without warning, Sonko appeared at the entrance, his presence commanding, strange energy radiating from him.

"Kenty," he said softly, almost pleading, his voice carrying both madness and longing. "You are mine."

Kenty's eyes widened. She took a step back—but something felt different. Her memories of his schemes, his betrayal, the chaos he had caused… they were blurred. Her parents looked equally disoriented, a vacant confusion in their eyes.

David and Precious immediately recognized the signs. "He's cast a spell," David whispered, his hands tightening. "Mom, Dad, Kenty… they're under his influence."

Precious nodded, her mind sharp, her natural power shielding her and David. "We have to act fast. Sonko cannot take Kenty, and we cannot let him manipulate the family wealth or the estate."

Sonko stepped closer, his eyes dark with obsession yet tinged with genuine affection for Kenty. He was calm, methodical, and insane all at once. He had used his spells to erase the memory of betrayal, making Kenty and her parents vulnerable to his influence. "You forget… everything. I am not the villain," he said, almost tenderly.

Kenty's lips trembled as she reached for her father, confused by the sudden haze over her memory. She did not feel the weight of guilt or the sting of betrayal. "Sonko…?" she asked, the confusion clear in her tone.

David and Precious exchanged glances. They had to protect her, undo Sonko's manipulation, and ensure the family remained safe all without alerting him to their awareness.

The stage was set for a new battle not one of open violence, but one of mind, memory, and loyalty.
