Harmon Mansion - Mid-night
I drove and parked my car at the back of the mansion.
I walked up to the gate and saw a new seal on the door, meaning the home was now under the law's protection and not the bank for debt.
I looked up as the gates were still as high and domineering.
But as I looked inside of the gate,
All I could see was silence.
No security running about.
I entered from the back door and went inside the estate.
No servants calling out for chores.
No Imelda shouting at the servants.
No familiar voices calling out.
I slowly walked through the empty hall, passing by door after door.
It was the same mansion, before walking in…made me feel powerful.
Now even I was feeling abandoned.
I looked around,
"Everything is still there the way it was,"
"Only the people aren't."
I walked through the hall and soon stopped outside my study.
As I entered, my gaze fell on the walls.
