Nora couldn't breathe.

What did that even mean?
Daniel's entire body tensed.
The wolves were closing the circle.
The rain had stopped.
Now the only sound in the night was the wind moving through the trees.
"You're lying," Daniel growled.
The black wolf tilted his head.
"Am I?"
He slowly walked toward Nora.
Daniel immediately jumped in front of her.
His claws were ready.
"If you take one more step…"
The wolf stopped.
Then his silver eyes began to glow.
"You should already know the truth."
Daniel's expression darkened.
"What truth?"
The wolf smiled.
"The girl you're protecting…"
"…was born under the blood moon."
The world seemed to stop.
Daniel froze.
Behind him, Nora whispered:
"What is he talking about?"
But Daniel didn't answer.
Because he knew exactly what the wolf meant.
And that truth was more terrifying than death itself.
