The city had begun to change.
Sirens echoed through the distance.
Helicopters moved across the sky.
And somewhere far away…
Monsters roared.
Renzo walked calmly through the empty road.
His senses were sharper now.
Level 10 had strengthened his body.
His breathing was steady.
His movements controlled.
Kensei-Ryu spoke with amusement.
"So the hunt begins."

The hidden quest floated in the corner of his vision.

Renzo turned the corner of a quiet block.
Parked cars lined the street.
Streetlights flickered weakly.
Then—
A loud crash echoed ahead.
A car alarm suddenly began screaming.

He stepped forward carefully.
The sound came from a small convenience store.
The glass front door had been shattered.
Inside…
Something moved.
Renzo quietly pulled Chrono Fang from its sheath.
The blade reflected the faint light of the street.
He stepped inside the store.
Broken shelves covered the floor.
Food packages were scattered everywhere.
Then he saw it.
A small creature crouched on the counter.
It looked like a goblin.
Green skin.
Long ears.
Sharp teeth.
It was chewing on something from the store.

Renzo moved slightly.
The attack missed completely.
Chrono Fang flashed.

The goblin collapsed instantly.

Renzo walked out of the store again.
The city streets were becoming more dangerous.
Distant explosions echoed somewhere far away.
People were screaming in another direction.
More monsters were spreading.
Which meant…
More targets.
Renzo turned into another alley.
Then suddenly—
Two glowing eyes appeared in the darkness.
Then four.
Then six.
Three goblins slowly stepped out of the shadows.
Each holding crude weapons.
Another system window appeared.

He also pulled the Shadow Fang Dagger with his other hand.

The goblins screeched and rushed toward him.

A blur of steel flashed through the alley.

Three quick strikes.
Three bodies dropped to the ground.
The entire fight lasted less than three seconds.

Something big was coming.
The ground began trembling slightly.

Sounded much stronger.
