Chapter 4 - Swallowing Blood Food

If it weren't for the unexpected presence of the boulder he was lying on, even if Di Shitian eventually managed to sense the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi from the outside world, it would definitely not be something he could achieve in a short time. It would take at least one or two months.

However—

The one or two months that would have originally been needed were shortened because of the boulder beneath him.

One inhale, one exhale!

Specks of moonlight essence continuously entered his body through countless pores, transforming into a warm current that circulated ceaselessly within him, flowing back and forth through every inch of his Physical Body. With each circulation, a small portion of this warm current naturally integrated into every muscle, continuously strengthening his Physical Body.

Di Shitian had undergone a great change and had run frantically through the mountains for an entire day without stopping. The deep fatigue caused him to fall into a deep sleep. In this hazy state, he could still feel a very comfortable Qi circulating within his body, bringing an indescribable sense of comfort to all one hundred and eight thousand pores of his body.

It was a warm feeling, as if he were nestled in White Tiger Mama's embrace—

Moon rises, sun sets, day and night alternate!

As time passed, the moonlight faded, and in the east, a red sun slowly rose. The golden morning glow sent out the first ray of light of the day to the world.

The warm sunlight shone on Di Shitian, waking him from his deep sleep.

"Huh, what happened to me? My whole body feels like it has endless strength."

Almost immediately upon waking, Di Shitian noticed the changes in his body. Yesterday's fatigue had long since vanished. Every inch of his body seemed to contain infinite power, and the hot blood within him was boiling, causing him to be secretly astonished.

He pondered in his heart, stood up, closed his eyes, and quietly felt the changes within his body.

Not only had his body become much stronger, but Di Shitian could also clearly feel a cool, warm current flowing continuously within him. With each circulation, an incomparably comfortable sensation would emerge in various parts of his body. It seemed to be driving the circulation of his Qi and blood.

"Why is there a strange current of Qi in my body?"

Di Shitian looked up at the sky. The bright red sun had already replaced the clear full moon: "Could it be that I really absorbed the essence of the moon that fell from the sky last night?"

However, as soon as this thought emerged, Di Shitian became even more surprised and doubtful. He remembered his actions from yesterday very clearly. Although he had indeed been desperately breathing and exhaling towards the moon, he hadn't absorbed any so-called essence of the sun and moon. He had still been breathing ordinary air, no different from usual.

When he fell into a deep sleep, he didn't feel any Qi flow within his body either.

Yet, the changes in his body were too strange. Not only had his body strengthened by several points overnight, but an odd warm current had also appeared, which seemed to benefit him considerably.

He pondered for a moment, but couldn't find an answer!

"Roar!!"

Di Shitian stood on the boulder and let out a Tiger's Roar towards the sky. He temporarily set aside the questions in his mind. Whether he could truly absorb the essence of the sun and moon could naturally be tested tonight. Now was not the time for deep investigation, because his stomach was already protesting loudly.

"Time to hunt."

A thought emerged in Di Shitian's mind. Although he hadn't truly reached the state of an adult tiger yet, his hunting skills were well-practiced. Now that White Tiger Mama had been captured, drinking tiger milk was no longer possible. To survive in the jungle, he could only rely on himself from now on.

He leaped off the boulder, and his four agile legs quickly ran across the ground. He wasn't heading towards the mountain cave where he resided, but directly towards the valley below the waterfall.

There was water in the valley, and various animals nearby came to drink there. Animals were present every day, so as long as he went in, he wouldn't have trouble finding prey.

Di Shitian arrived at the mouth of the valley but didn't jump in immediately. He carefully concealed himself at the entrance first, then peered into the valley. In the valley, he saw a tall wild wolf standing by the pond, its head dipped into the water, drinking the sweet mountain spring water from the pond, mouthful by mouthful.

"There's only one wild wolf. With my body, which I've been training for several months, I should be able to hunt it."

Di Shitian watched the lone wolf in his sight with cold eyes. His body, go through good several months of tempering, every muscle contained powerful strength, only slightly inferior to an adult tiger. Moreover, he didn't know what happened last night, but it had strengthened his body even more. This gave him the confidence to attack the wolf.

"Awoo!!"

After assessing the strengths of both sides, Di Shitian finally began to move. His two hind legs pushed off the ground with force, and his entire body, propelled by a huge power, directly soared into the air. With one leap, he covered a distance of ten meters. After a few more leaps, he was behind the wild wolf. Finally, with a powerful Aura, he flew up and his two front paws, revealing sharp tiger claws, pounced towards the wild wolf.

Clouds follow the Dragon, wind follows the tiger!

Before he even pounced, a gust of strong wind accompanied Di Shitian's leap, sweeping over the wild wolf.

"Awoo!!"

Those who can survive in the jungle are all battle-hardened and extremely vigilant. As soon as the wild wolf felt the fierce wind attacking from above, it immediately knew something was wrong and, with incredible agility, fell to its side and rolled.

Hiss!

In that fall and roll, Di Shitian's tiger claw only landed on the wild wolf's hindquarters. With a forceful tear, one claw ripped off a palm-sized piece of flesh from the wolf's body. Blood spurted out, immediately staining the ground beneath.

"Awoo!!"

Just as Di Shitian was about to consolidate his battle achievements, a premonition suddenly flashed in his mind. Then, several terrifying wolf howls rang out. He looked around and saw that two more wild wolves had appeared in the valley. Including the original one, there were now three in total. They had apparently set up an ambush here with prior planning, deliberately creating a trap to lure prey.

At this moment, one wild wolf had already bared its sharp fangs and was pouncing towards Di Shitian.

"This is a trap!!"

A thought immediately flashed in Di Shitian's mind. After the initial shock, he became even calmer. Months of hard training finally came into play at this moment. Facing the pouncing fierce wolf, he quickly sidestepped, and his tail suddenly rose high, like an iron whip, forcefully striking the fierce wolf in mid-air.

"Bang!!"

Tigers have three major moves: pouncing, tearing, and flipping. However, Di Shitian had specifically trained this tail, making it not only flexible but also incredibly powerful when swung with full force. Indeed, the fierce wolf was struck right on its waist, falling to the ground. It struggled a few times but couldn't get up.

"Awoo!!"

He didn't know what was wrong with the wild wolves today; their eyes were all glowing green, radiating ferocity. The remaining two didn't flee; instead, they attacked him again with renewed savagery.

This fight was a true test of skill, using teeth to bite, claws to scratch, and bodies to ram. Every part of their bodies was utilized. Di Shitian was born the King of Beasts, but these wild wolves were fierce wolves that had survived in the cruel Law of the jungle. This fight was incredibly brutal and equally bloody.

"Crack!!"

After a fierce battle, Di Shitian found an opportunity. He suddenly pounced forward with an incredibly fierce Aura and lightning-fast movements. He bit one wild wolf's neck, and his immense biting force instantly crushed the wolf's throat. The last wild wolf saw this, a fierce glint flashed in its eyes, knowing it could no longer gain an advantage. With a body full of wounds, it ran out of the valley.

"Gurgle gurgle!!"

Seeing the last wild wolf escape, Di Shitian also breathed a slight sigh of relief. He subconsciously took a breath, not realizing he was currently biting the wolf's throat. With this inhale, a large mouthful of wolf blood rushed into his throat, and with a 'gurgle,' he swallowed it. The warm wolf blood brought a wave of warmth to his body, which had become scarred and exhausted from the struggle.

At the same time, that mysterious cool Qi within his body suddenly became excited, continuously moving through his body. With each circulation, the wolf blood in his abdomen began to fuse into the flesh and blood of his entire body. In his Dantian, a warm Qi arose, and under the guidance of the cool Qi, it circulated throughout his body. With each circulation, a portion of that warm Qi would be fused by the cool Qi, causing the mysterious cool Qi to grow stronger.

His spirit was invigorated.

"Is this the legendary refining of vital Qi? Could it be that this is the Cultivate method of the Yao Race, devouring blood food to strengthen vital Qi?"

A thought flashed in Di Shitian's mind, but he didn't dwell on it. Seeing that drinking blood had this benefit, he didn't think much further. He opened his mouth and gulped down the wolf blood. Streams of warm wolf blood transformed into wisps of hot Qi rising within his body.

He didn't know why, but as a human in his previous life, he felt no aversion or disgust when drinking blood now. Instead, it had a sweet taste. As he drank the blood, all the cells in his body happily jumped.

"I don't care if I'm naturally bloodthirsty, I must live, I must survive. I want to Cultivate into a demon."

After finishing the wolf blood, Di Shitian picked up a wolf and walked towards the mountain cave where he resided. He had many wounds on his body, and crimson blood soaked his surrounding fur... There was no fire in the forest, and Di Shitian didn't intend to start one by rubbing sticks. Returning to the cave, looking at the cold scene inside, the hatred in his heart for the two Cultivators deepened a few more points. After tearing off a piece of wolf meat and swallowing it raw to fill his stomach, he lay in the cave, closed his eyes, and began to carefully sense the mysterious Qi flow within his body.

Strangely enough, although this Qi flow was within his body, it wasn't very controllable. It moved back and forth through his body on its own. Having just eaten, this Qi flow also seemed to become excited, emitting a marvelous power that gradually broke down the blood food in his abdomen into strands of energy and vital Qi, which were used to strengthen this Qi.
