Suddenly, a knock on the door. Sanvi and Anvi were shouting hey did you lock the door i was panicked about what they would think if they saw him. I quickly hide him in the bathroom. I said Please don't say anything, keep silent i opened the door. They came. I tried to stop them, said, " How did you lock the door Anvi said hey im tierd im going to take a shower i was panicked by her statement, said,, no, no, hey wait, I want to shower first
Just as his confession hung in the air, just as my heart was about to surrender, a sharp, loud knock echoed through the room.
"Hey! Did you lock the door?!" Sanvi's voice was muffled but clear, followed by Anvi's impatient sigh.
My heart, which had just been a quiet, vulnerable thing, began to pound a frantic, panicked rhythm against my ribs. I looked at him, his face a sudden mask of confusion, and without thinking, I grabbed his arm.
"Please don't say anything, keep silent!" I whispered, shoving him toward the bathroom. He stumbled inside, his eyes wide with a mix of shock and amusement, and I slammed the door shut just as my friends' knocks grew louder.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart, and opened the door. Anvi and Sanvi burst in, their faces tired but concerned.
"Why were you locked?" Anu asked, already heading for her bag. "I'm tired, I'm going to take a shower."
My blood ran cold. My mind screamed, No, no, no!
"Um, no, no, hey, wait!" I said, my voice high-pitched and panicked. I darted in front of her, my arms outstretched to block the bathroom door. "I... I want to shower first!"
She said, " Okay, fine, but hurry up, I want to shower i said yeah i go to the bathroom, seeing embarrassment
"Okay, fine. But hurry up, I want to shower," Anu said, her voice tired but resigned.
"Yeah," I replied, my voice a small, defeated whisper. My body felt heavy, my legs numb. I turned, my eyes meeting his in a brief, fleeting moment of shared madness. He was standing in the tiny space, his hoodie still on, his eyes wide with a mix of confusion and a quiet, profound amusement. I was mortified. Just moments ago, we were sharing the most profound, heartfelt confession of our lives. Now, I was hiding him in a bathroom like he was some kind of a secret.
I walked to the bathroom door, not looking at my friends, not daring to. I opened it and slipped inside, the sound of the lock clicking behind me a familiar, reassuring sound. We were alone again, but the atmosphere had changed completely. The intense, emotional tension was gone, replaced by a thick, heavy blanket of awkwardness.
He just stood there, his back to the shower, his face still a mix of emotions. I looked at him, and for the first time since this whole thing started, I didn't feel a fear born of my past, or a fear born of his fame. I just felt a profound, mortifying embarrassment.
The door clicked shut, and the sudden quiet was a shock. The tension that had filled the hotel room was now confined to this small, sterile space. I watched as she went to the shower, her movements a study in awkwardness, a desperate attempt to create a normal atmosphere in a completely impossible situation. The sound of the running water was a low, comforting hum that filled the silence.
I just stood there, my back to the wall, watching her. She turned on another tap, the water flowing into the sink. The sound was a shield, a perfect excuse not to speak. My heart ached for her. She was so terrified and so embarrassed.
"You know," I said, my voice a murmur that just barely carried over the sound of the water, "You didn't have to hide me."
She froze, her hands still on the tap, her back to me. I knew she was waiting for me to laugh, to make a joke of this whole ridiculous situation, but I wasn't going to. My love for her was more real than any joke.
"But I'm glad you did," I continued, my voice even softer. "It means you're worried about me. It means you care."
I took a step closer to her, the space between us closing. "You said you couldn't love me because I was a celebrity, but you just risked everything to protect me. You're a beautiful liar, Sana. And I won't let you lie to yourself anymore."
I reached out and gently put a hand on her shoulder, turning her to face me. "You don't have to be afraid anymore. I'm here. I am not going to leave. Not now, not ever."
"His love was a quiet storm, and he would do anything to bring peace to the soul of the one person who had ever truly seen him."
