Chapter 3 - Uninvited guests

7:00 PM – Kamino City

Lights flickered across the city as night fell. Kamino was never a place that slept.

Hero patrols were sparse here. Not enough recognition from the government to justify sending heroes. The perfect ground for deals that needed no witnesses.

In a dark alley, three men walked.

Their footsteps echoed off wet brick walls. Two of them carried black, the kind that didn't draw attention.

The third kept his hands in his pockets, eyes scanning rooftops and alley mouths.

"Can't believe he died," one muttered, looking down at the dirt floor.

"I never liked that bonehead from the beginning," another replied. "But it'll be strange without him."

"Yeah." The third man kicked a loose stone. "Still can't understand why a vigilante so violent still hasn't been caught for the past year. Isn't that the pro heroes' damn job?"

None of them answered. None of them had an answer for that.

Bbzzzzz

The second man waved a fly away.

"Damn flies. Couldn't they let us go in through the front instead of this place?"

"Unless you want three normal-looking men walking into an office building with briefcases looking suspicious enough for someone to report us to heroes."

The second man stopped waving his hand and grumbled, not paying attention to the fly landing in his pocket.

They stopped in front of a metal door. One of them knocked—three quick raps, then two slow ones.

A slot slid open. A pair of eyes stared out.

"You made sure you weren't followed?"

"Positive."

The slot and the door creaked open, revealing a man in a suit who gestured for them to come inside.

They followed the man in a suit to an elevator. He pushed the button for the top floor.

When they reached it, they walked down the hallway toward an office. The man in a suit opened the door, revealing the boss of this building and their buyer standing near the glass wall, looking out.

"It's good you three brought what I wanted. And don't worry, I'm not planning on backstabbing you."

The boss turned around walked to his desk and sat down. He looked at the two briefcases with a calm expression.

"Right. We managed to get those plants and seeds you wanted. It wasn't easy, but we managed thanks to our late friend."

"Yes, the boss is well aware of his death, there's no point bringing it up during this important business."

As they continued chatting, they didn't notice a mosquito crawl out of the second man's pocket, where the fly had gone in moments ago and slip through the keyhole of another door.

The conversation paused when one of them asked an important question.

"Mind telling us why you need all of this? That was the last bunch our old boss had to sell to get the best lawyers in court. That won't happen now since we stole it."

The boss looked at the briefcases on his desk, took a deep breath, exhaled, then answered.

"My business has been going downhill for years because the damn heroes keep attacking the areas I own. Unlike that idiot who sold everything the minute it was delivered, I plan to grow more of those plants using the greenhouse and experts I own. Then I'll create poisonous gases against the heroes.

With many of them gone or recovering, I'll be able to rebuild my business and mass-produce it for the black market to make more money and—"

SPLOOSH

He stopped when all of them heard a toilet flush from his bathroom, followed by the sink water turning on.

"Check who's inside and make that person's death quick."

He ordered the man in a suit, who walked toward the bathroom. His hand formed into a blade.

As he got closer, the sound of water stopped and was replaced by a high-pitched mechanical roar.

The three men instinctively took several steps back, as if sensing something bad was about to come out of the bathroom.

And something did.

A chainsaw burst through the door, piercing through the man chest.

It didn't stop there. It cut upward, splitting his upper half open in a gruesome display.

The body fell. A puddle of blood began to form on the floor.

The broken door swung open, revealing a figure that made the four men's hearts sink.

Absalon.

He still held the chainsaw, blood dripping from it onto the floor from the man he had brutally killed. But he raised one hand, as if about to ask a question.

"Before any of you wonder how I followed you or how I found out about this deal...

Let's just say you should have told your friend to write things down on paper instead of keeping all that information in his phone. Right after I gave him a taste of bullets."

Absalon looked at them. Their eyes dilated as they knew they were next.

The boss recovered from his state of shock and pulled out a gun in a desperate attempt.

Absalon however, was much faster. A Mark 2 heavy revolver appeared in his hand and he fired two rounds into both of the boss's hands.

"Grahh!"

The boss dropped to his knees drop the gun staring at his hands. Both had deep wounds, some fingers missing and he could feel the bones fractured.

Absalon's chainsaw and gun disappeared as he walked toward the boss and grabbed him by the neck.

"I was getting bored with all your yapping about business, so I decided to enjoy myself a bit in your private bathroom. I even left a surprise. It's so good, it'll give this office some great fireworks."

The three men and the boss still held by Absalon had no idea what he was talking about.

Absalon shrugged of their dilemma then lifted the boss into the air, applying pressure to his neck.

"Jokes aside, you're going to tell me where the rest of the locations you and your friends own are. So I can discuss some 'business' with them."

The way he said "business" meant only one thing.

Death.

The boss gritted his teeth in rage and shouted.

"The hell I'm gonna tell you shit! You think I'm stupid? You'll just kill me after I give you the information!"

Silence filled the room after his words.

"Yeah, you're right. I would have killed you in a brutal way and destroyed everything in this building.

Since you're not willing to talk, I'll just kill you now."

Absalon cuff his left fist back, ready to punch straight through the boss's guts right in front of the three thugs.

The glass wall shattered as a speeding projectile shot through the boss and struck Absalon in the head. Thanks to the Dog Talisman's power, there was no sign of damage.

Absalon looked down. A blue and pink swirling bullet lay on the floor near his feet. He glanced at the hole now torn through the boss's stomach, and he knew exactly who had fired it.

He dropped the boss, who was clutching his stomach, then decapitated him with a single karate chop.

Absalon turned his head toward the three thugs.

"I'm giving you thirty seconds to get out of this place. Unless you want to see the fireworks up close."

The three thugs ran for their lives.

Scene Change

Lady Nagant stood on top of a building three kilometers away from the one Absalon was in.

Normally, her face never showed any emotion when killing targets. Nothing surprised her.

Until now.

Lady Nagant was shocked by what she was seeing. Absalon is still alive There were no signs of damage on his head.

That was impossible.

Her hair bullets had a special trait that let them pierce tanks, and they moved faster than the speed of sound.

Yet he was still standing as if nothing happened.

Lady Nagant, using her scope plus advanced vision, saw Absalon wave in her direction. Then he gave her the middle finger as a device appeared in his hand.

Beep.

A massive explosion destroyed a large part of the floor he was on. Debris, hot glass, and wood blasted outward.

The three thugs were caught in the explosion when they failed to reach the elevator.

Nearby citizens ran away in panic as the building began to collapse. An old man scrambled out of his truck full of cabbages just as a piece of debris struck the vehicle.

He wailed in sorrow, holding one of the broken cabbages.

"My cabbages!"

A couple tried to run away from the falling debris. One of them tripped and saw a large chunk heading straight for them. They braced themselves.

But a blue blur struck the falling debris, creating a gust of wind that knocked away the other falling debris.

A towering muscular figure stood 7'2" tall, with short blonde hair swept back and two distinct tufts of bangs sticking up like a V.

"Have no fear." he announced

"because I am here!"

The number one hero, All Might had arrived.

"It's All Might!"

"He's here to save us!"

The civilians' panic subsided as they saw their savior in this dire situation.

All Might looked up at the burning building and cocked his right arm back.

"Detroit Smash!"

He threw his punch, generating a massive amount of wind that extinguished the fire while keeping the building from collapsing further.

As All Might and the ambulances that shortly arrived helped the citizens, Absalon stood on top of a different building. Carrying a bag like Santa Claus as he looked into the distance.

"Enjoy giving them smiles, All Might." he muttered to himself. "Because soon, I'm gonna give you a reality check later on when I have time."

He activated the Snake Talisman to turn invisible, then used the Rabbit Talisman to move at Mach 300. The same speed he had used to escape the explosion and take the boss's safe full of cash like the flash to head back home.
