Dr. Banner's breathing became rapid.
Controlling Hulk? This was what he had always dreamed of!
"Can you really do it?"
"Of course." Leon smiled confidently.
"To me, it's as simple as knowing how to use one's own fist. Of course, it comes with a small price."
"What price?" Dr. Banner asked cautiously.
"Become one of us." Leon's tone grew serious.
"Perhaps you don't know, but lurking on this Planet is a group of Guardians who call themselves the Eternal. I plan to visit them and make them understand that times have changed."
He looked back at Dr. Banner, his eyes filled with ambition.
"I need you to make them understand what true power is with your body. Don't you think Hulk is the perfect candidate?"
Leon extended his hand to Dr. Banner.
"I can help you pacify him, at the cost of him becoming my strongest enforcer. And you, Dr. Banner, you will gain the control and peace you've always longed for.
Will you continue to live in fear in a dirty corner, or will you come with me and become someone who can control his own destiny?"
Dr. Banner fell into deep thought.
This deal was irresistible to him.
After a long pause, Dr. Banner nodded seriously.
"I'll come with you."
"A smart choice." Leon's brows relaxed.
He nodded with satisfaction, speaking in a calm tone.
"Very well, then our first lesson begins now."
Leon turned and walked out of the clinic.
"Follow me, Dr.. We're going to meet Gods who have lived for thousands of years."
"I'm curious, what expressions will they have when they discover that the uncontrolled rage of mortals can easily shatter their divine bodies?"
Bruce was stunned.
Looking at Leon's retreating figure, he didn't know whether his future life would be an abyss or a new beginning.
He only knew that Leon had done what he couldn't.
He had just ended a major battle with Abomination and separated from his girlfriend again, which caused him great pain.
However, this wasn't entirely good, because it meant that in his future life, there would be one more person who could order him around.
But he had no choice.
At least, it seemed a little better than being captured by General Ross for experiments.
Leon didn't give him time to think.
Seeing the other party walk away, Dr. Banner quickly followed.
He recalled Leon's sudden appearance earlier, and he expected to see some kind of high-tech teleportation device, or a magic gate that tore through space, similar to those in myths.
However, there was nothing.
The other party led him out of the dilapidated clinic.
Then, Leon took a step, and Dr. Banner was surprised to find the crowded and noisy alleyways of Kolkata were left behind.
Another step, and the muddy ground under his feet had already turned into a flat, clean stone path.
The surrounding honking and hawking sounds disappeared, and the faint church bells and vehicle engine noises in the distance caught his attention.
Dr. Banner looked utterly bewildered.
"OK, cool." He adjusted his glasses, trying to make his voice sound less like a bumpkin.
"So, did we just take a first-class Anywhere Door? Or are you actually a super-powered illusionist? Like a Mother Box from DC Comics or something?"
As a scientist, he tried to explain it with theories like quantum tunneling or spatial wormholes.
However, to his regret, he didn't feel any energy fluctuations, nor any signs of spatial distortion.
How to put it, it was as if they had been standing there all along, and the previous Kolkata was just an illusion.
"Is this London?" Dr. Banner looked around curiously.
The surroundings featured typical Gothic architecture, and hurried White people in trench coats.
"The Natural History Museum." Leon pointed to the church-like building not far away.
"Look, our first destination today."
Dr. Banner's heart pounded.
Goodness, from India to London, spanning half the Earth, in just two steps.
This efficiency was even higher than a courier company.
Next time, should he consider asking Leon to help him bring some takeout?
The samosas in Kolkata actually tasted good.
Leon's heart was calm.
He, of course, knew what Dr. Banner was thinking.
But to him, the Earth was merely a glass marble.
To walk from one end of the marble to the other, did it require any complex steps? A single thought was enough.
What he cared more about was the upcoming meeting.
The Eternal.
These guys were scattered across the World like ordinary people, living self-deceiving lives.
Pathetic, and ridiculous.
Possessing immense power, yet unable to control their own destiny.
Oh, well, they were tools of the Celestials, and mass-produced robots.
Leon's plan was simple: recruit them directly, with absolute power.
And for his first target, he chose Sersi, the Eternal who loved humanity the most.
Starting from the weakest link has always been the most efficient way to break a stalemate, though it made no difference to him.
"Let's go, Bruce."
Leon straightened his clothes, then stepped towards the museum.
"Let's go meet the lady who loves stones."
Dr. Banner suppressed his curiosity and quickly followed.
He felt like Alice in "Alice in Wonderland," following a rabbit in a suit, falling into a crazy rabbit hole.
The only difference was that this rabbit, or rather, the Sun god, looked far more dangerous than a rabbit.
Inside the museum, it was solemn and dignified.
A massive dinosaur skeleton fossil stood in the center of the hall, and the dome's frescoes depicted the evolution of nature.
Tourists moved through it, conversing in low voices.
Leon ignored the priceless exhibits, having already locked onto his target.
He led Dr. Banner through several exhibition halls, finally stopping in the area displaying ancient artifacts.
Not far away, a woman with an East Asian face and a gentle demeanor stood there.
She wore a kind smile, explaining a cuneiform clay tablet to a group of students.
She was Sersi.
Beside her, there was also a girl who looked only twelve or thirteen, with a displeased expression.
That was Sprite, an Eternal member who was bored with everything because her body was set to never grow up.
And at the edge of the students, a well-dressed, brown-haired man gazed at Sersi with eyes full of adoration, clearly waiting for her to finish work.
This was Dane Whitman, an ordinary museum history Professor, and Sersi's current suitor.
Of course, in the comics, he also had another identity: the superhero Black Knight. His family owned a longsword that could cut through Adamantium and Vibranium, and it also carried a weapon that could drive people mad.
Simply put, it was a magic sword; the longer it was used, the more one's sanity would gradually be lost.
But it also had a drawback: it couldn't harm certain beings, such as purely good people, or beings like Spider-Man.
Everything seemed very normal, very harmonious.
