SF Chapter 113: New House II
The next day, Daniel finally gave Mischa and Lexi a full tour of the house, since the day before they had mostly stayed in the screening room and his bedroom.
"Wow, it really is a beautiful house," Mischa commented after seeing everything.
"Yep," he nodded, sipping his coffee. "At first, I wanted a house the size of my brother's. But my mom found this one with a big discount because the owner moved to another country."
[Dani commentary]
"Mom called me really excited, saying she'd found the bargain of a lifetime," Dani began.
"'The owner is bankrupt and going through a divorce, so he needs cash fast,' she told me, like it was the most normal reason in the world."
He went on, "When we paid for it, it seemed like the guy had fled the country."
"Mom also left the country. But that was because of the trip I gave her as a gift," Dani finished the story. "It is an awesome house, after all."

"And this house was designed for privacy," Dani remarked. "Not just the garage area. The exterior too."
He pointed things out as he explained, "The pool and the balconies were designed in such a way that people down on the beach can't see anything because of the height."
"The bedrooms are all suites, and they're really well soundproofed. There's even one suite where the bathroom is separated only by glass, with the bathtub right in front of the bed."
"Huh. Maybe the owner was a complete pervert like you," Mischa mocked.
"Don't worry, I had the whole house deep-cleaned," he said, moving closer to her and kissing her neck, placing a firm hand on her waist.
Mischa just rolled her eyes. "What are you doing, Lexi?" she decided to change the subject.
"I'm looking at the 35mm film catalog they have here," she replied, flipping through a brochure. "At least he has good taste. Unlike Dani..." she jabbed.
"You can provoke me all you want, Lexi. Because we all know you'll be coming here every chance you get," he said with a smug smile.
"You're completely trapped, Lexi," Mischa chuckled.
"Thankfully, you're different, Mischa," Lexi deadpanned, looking at her friend, who was currently pressed back against Dani while he not-so-subtly pressing his hips against her from behind.
"Didn't you get enough yesterday, Dani?" Mischa asked, though she made no real effort to move away.
"Yes. But today is another day. Besides, it's Lexi's fault. I stayed in New York one extra week without any," he defended himself.
"You know, Mischa, my family had a dog. He became very well-behaved after we had him neutered," Alexandra said, going back to the film catalog.
Daniel made a face, but before continuing, he said to both girls, "Anyway, I'm having a family-and-friends lunch tomorrow to inaugurate the house. Want to come? It'll be a family-friendly party."
Lexi thought for a moment. "Sure."
Mischa agreed as well. "Sounds like a plan."
"Great!" he smiled. "Now..." Dani made a wolfish face.
Needless to say, there was a not-so-family-friendly trio party.

"Oh my God, this is your house?" Haley showed up the next day with the whole family.
"Yep," Dani smiled, hugging her and then greeting the rest. "Come in. Mi casa, su casa." (my house, your house)
"You told me it was an awesome house, not this!" Claire widened her eyes in disbelief as she looked around.
Phil was next, "Nice house, D-so-much-money."
Alex came in too, already reading a book. Dani just ruffled her hair, much to her annoyance.
Luke was standing beside Jake.
"Uncle Dan, can I have a bedroom here?" Jake asked, making Luke immediately ask the same thing.
"Sorry, but no. Your parents wouldn't want something like that," Dani denied, shifting the blame to his siblings, Alan and Claire.
"But you can come over and play here sometimes."
"Uncle Charlie is still the best uncle," Jake muttered.
Dani ignored him. He was perfectly fine with being the second-best uncle if that meant not having one of the bedrooms turn into a kids' room.
Everyone went inside, and finally, his two brothers were the last to come in.
"Hey, nice house," Charlie smirked. "Now I have a place to easily run to in moments involving angry husbands or boyfriends," he joked.
"Anytime, bro. And like I said, mi casa, su casa. You can also bring women here, if you want," Dani offered.
"Just let me know so I can have the place cleaned afterward. And the rest, same rules as yours."
Charlie gave him another smirk and patted his shoulder.
"Sorry, Alan," Dani said, now turning to his other brother. "If I say the same to you, I'll be doomed."
"I learned from Charlie. Bro, if I let you in, it'd be hard to get you out," he chuckled.
Alan glared at him, while Charlie gave a resigned nod of agreement.
[Daniel commentary]
"I love my brother Alan, but he's the one you can't give too much leeway to," Daniel commented, sitting on his couch.
"He doesn't mean to be a parasite. He just has a very natural talent for it."
Daniel shook his head. "The other day, he complained because I used up the whipped cream he bought."
"Man, I pay for entire lunches and dinners and never bring it up. He buys one can of whipped cream and suddenly he's the Federal Reserve."

A little while later, the rest of the guests arrived.
Jay, Gloria, and Manny.
Mitchell, Cam, and Lily.
Lexi and Mischa.
Leonard, Bernadette, Howard, Raj and Sheldon.
A bit later, Dylan finally arrived. Haley's boyfriend had gotten lost on the way.
[Jay commentary]
"I know we'd already planned for it with our banker. How much money Daniel has and everything..." Jay said.
"But seeing your youngest with a huge house in Malibu for real..." he paused for a moment. "Feels different."
