SF Chapter 47: Samantha Borgens
That night, the doorbell rang and Charlie went to answer it.
"Hi, it's long time no see," Leonard greeted Charlie, Alan, and Jake, his tone slightly stiff.
Charlie lifted his bottle in acknowledgment. "Hey." He was already heading out. "I'm going to Pavlov. Enjoy your night," he added, clearly uninterested in joining their youth program.
He also planned to have a drink after the 'stressful' day he'd had without Berta taking care of the house chores.
"Hello Leonard," Alan stepped closer, "Jake, this is your cousin Leonard."
"First cousin once removed," Sheldon, who was standing beside his roommate, corrected Alan.
"These are my friends - Raj, Sheldon, and Howard," Leonard introduced the trio.
"Wow, are you all nerds?" Jake stared at the group of strangers.
"Jake," Alan warned.
"Okay, guys, let's go," Daniel appeared in the hallway, adjusting his blazer.

As they walked, Daniel glanced at the four of them. "Tonight, we will find some good girls." he smirked.
Raj tilted his head. "And Penny?"
"We are still great friends," he replied. "But we are not dating."
Howard perked up. "Does that mean I have a shot at being her great friend too?"
Daniel gave him a sideways look. "Huh, even if a miracle happened and you managed that, don't blame me if you receive a painful remark."
He patted the Jew's shoulder. "I bet I'm waay bigger than you, not only in height."
Leonard tried to calm them down. "Okay, you two, we are all friends. Howard, don't try to be smug or provoke if you can't handle the retort."
"And we are here to see how Daniel picks up girls," Raj commented. It was his idea for them to come to a Malibu's party.
"I'm present under protest," Sheldon scoffed. "My mother insisted I should come." Mary Cooper would be in Los Angeles until month's end.
"Fine," Dani stared at the quartet. "I can be your wingman at the party Penny is throwing next month. But not today."
"So Bernadette will go?" Leonard asked, sounding a little too eager.
"Yep," his cousin nodded, "but we can go to The Cheesecake Factory this week and make the introductions."
Daniel told his cousin about Penny's friend, who had said she could introduce the two of them.
"But come on, Leonard, focus on today!"
They reached the beach party soon after. Looking around, it seemed like a younger crowd, around 18 to 25 years old - music pulsing across the sand.
Sheldon froze. "Dear Lord… what are we doing here?" He made a horrified face.
Moments later, Raj returned carrying beers.
Daniel's attention drifted past them. "Uhh, nice one," he muttered, noticing a young beautiful brunette nearby. "Okay, guys, I'm going for her. Come closer later and pretend you don't know me."
He approached the girl. "Hello," he gave a half-smile. "I'm Daniel. But you can call me Dani."
She smiled back. "Samantha."
She started talking without waiting for Daniel to lead the conversation. "I never enjoy anything. I'm always waiting for whatever's next. I think everyone's like that…"
Daniel raised an eyebrow, took a sip of his beer, and kept looking straight at her.
She continued, "Living life in fast forward, never stopping to enjoy the moment, too busy trying to rush through everything, so we can get on with what we're really supposed to be doing with our lives."
"I get these flashes of clarity, brilliant clarity, where, for a second, I stop and I think, 'Wait, this is it.'"
"'This is my life. I'd better slow down and enjoy it, because one day, we're all going to end up in the ground, and that will be it. We'll be gone.'"
Daniel listened and frowned a little. Behind him, three stunned faces tracked her words. Sheldon remained entirely uninterested.
After Samantha finished her speech, she paused for a moment and then blurted out, "So I think we should fuck."
"Works for me," Daniel replied at once. But he was still analyzing how crazy the chick in front of him was.
A few feet away, Raj sprayed his beer over Howard, and Leonard coughed violently.
Dani stepped closer to her. It wasn't the first time he'd heard something like that, but usually it came from bimbos - not someone like the one standing in front of him.
She clarified, unprompted. "Let's just fast-forward through all the drunken seduction bullshit we have to look forward to."
"We both want the same thing: to go back to your room, have sex, and never see each other again."
Daniel pulled her into a long, intense kiss. "I already said yes," he smirked.
While Sam and Dani were leaving the party, Howard spoke to Raj, annoyed, "How are we supposed to learn anything when he's playing in a very easy mode?"
"He basically just said 'hi,'" Raj replied, nodding, also feeling cheated.
A beautiful girl walked past them.
"Hello there," Howard smirked, trying to look seductive.
"Ewwww," she exclaimed in disgust before walking away.
"Yeah, and Howard is playing on Hell mode," Leonard commented to Raj, sounding slightly sympathetic toward his friend.

"Wow, nice bedroom," Samantha praised, glancing around his room as he closed the door behind them.
Moments later, Daniel kissed along her collarbone, his hands roaming slowly over her body.
"Wow, someone seems eager..." she teased.
He smirked. "What, you want to go through all the 'drunken seduction bullshit' now?"
In response, she pulled off her shirt and then her pants, leaving herself in just her underwear.
"You can keep those naughty hands moving," she said with a sly smile, "or were you frisking me?"
"You can't blame me. I need to make sure you're not some lunatic with a weapon," he chuckled, not hiding that he had, in fact, been checking that too.
"Never had an invitation this direct?" Samantha asked, sliding her hand over the bulge in his pants.
"I have," he admitted, "but the girls had much bigger breasts - and they didn't start with an existential monologue." He pushed her onto the bed and pinned her beneath him.
"It was more like, 'Hey, you're hot. Let's get laid!'" he remarked, making her laugh.
"And there's no way I'm letting you take the lead," he whispered in her ear. "Let's see if this isn't just fake bravado."
Soon enough, the room was filled with moans.

After a long while, the two of them were relaxing in the hot tub.
"So, Sam, who are you, really?" Daniel asked, turning toward her.
She rolled her eyes. "I thought we had established this is just a one-night stand."
"Good Lord, girl, you don't have to be so defensive. I'm not going to ask you out, if that's what you're worried about."
"And I bet you're thinking, 'maybe another night wouldn't be so bad,'" he added, pulling her a little closer and letting his hand slide over her body.
"You're so full of yourself…" she scoffed, rolling her eyes again.
"So?"
"Fine," she sighed. "My name is Samantha Borgens. I'm nineteen. I study Creative Writing at USC. Happy?"
"Yes. Date me, Miss Borgens," he teased, placing a dramatic hand over his heart.
"Asshole."
"That's a great suggestion," he shot back, moving closer to her.
"No, no, no, don't you dare," she protested lightly.
"Oh, come on. You're the one who likes fast-forwarding. I'll just use one finger," he murmured playfully, "just the tip..."
Seeing that she wasn't resisting, Daniel kept moving his finger, slipping part of it inside.
"Slow…" she breathed, her body trembling slightly. It was her first time trying it - though she had imagined it before.
They didn't go all the way, but they kept fooling around.
