Chapter 10 - The Forge

Later that afternoon, the twins walked through the busy streets of the clan city.

Although they were members of the Yin–Yang Clan, branch families lived in much simpler districts.

Markets were filled with merchants selling herbs, tools, and spiritual materials.

Michael suddenly stopped walking.

Matthew noticed immediately.

"What is it?"

Michael pointed ahead.

A large building stood near the marketplace.

A sign hung above the entrance.

Spirit Forge Hall

Matthew raised an eyebrow.

"You want to go inside?"

Michael shrugged.

"Why not?"

They entered the forge.

The moment they stepped inside, a wave of heat washed over them.

Massive furnaces burned along the walls.

Blacksmiths hammered glowing metal on heavy anvils.

The loud clang of metal echoed throughout the hall.

Michael's eyes sparkled.

"This place is amazing."

Matthew chuckled.

"You've always liked making things."

A burly blacksmith noticed them and frowned.

"This isn't a playground, kids."

"Go bother someone else."

Michael walked closer to a nearby anvil.

"Can I try?"

The blacksmith laughed loudly.

"You?"

"You're barely tall enough to hold a hammer."

Michael picked up a small forging hammer from the table.

Without another word…

He struck the heated metal.

CLANG

The sound echoed clearly.

The metal flattened perfectly under the blow.

The blacksmith stopped laughing.

Michael struck again.

CLANG

Each movement was smooth.

Precise.

Almost instinctive.

Matthew's eyes widened slightly.

"Since when are you good at this?"

Michael shrugged while working.

"I don't know."

"It just feels natural."

The blacksmith stared in disbelief.

For a six-year-old child to control the hammer so precisely was almost impossible.

After several strikes, Michael stepped back.

The metal had been shaped into a clean blade outline.

The entire forge hall became quiet.

One of the older smiths whispered.

"That kid… has talent."

Very rare talent.

High above them…

Inside the twins' minds…

The dragon turtle spirit watched silently.

And smiled.

Because the Path of Creation had finally begun.
