Fragment relics were of three categories.
First were Grade One fragment relics. Their function was not too powerful. They didn't possess a mana pool of their own either. The only way to activate their function was by channeling your own mana into them.
After that came the Grade Two fragment relics. After fifty to a hundred years, a Grade One fragment relic would evolve and become a Grade Two fragment relic. Their function would either strengthen or change entirely, and the fragment relic would come to possess its own mana pool. This meant that even a person with no mana could use them without any problems.
Even among Grade Two fragment relics, the gap in their strength was extremely vast depending on the relic's age.
