His eyes traced her face slowly, as if noticing it again for the first time. Her skin looked smooth, untouched by any flaw. Her eyes held a calm depth that seemed to hide countless secrets. Her lips were soft, naturally colored, not too bright, not too pale, just enough to draw attention without trying. Even the way her hair fell across her shoulders looked like it had been arranged by someone who understood perfection.
