Chapter 3 –
The Queen welcomed Guriya and her family warmly. For the first time in her life, Guriya felt at home. Her parents were happy, she had a room of her own, and she spent her days exploring the palace with Ronald.
But not everyone was pleased.
One afternoon, while wandering through a quiet corridor, a sudden hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a shadowed room.
It was Prince Casper.
"What are you doing?" she asked, startled.
"Why are you always with him?" he demanded, his eyes dark. "Ronald is your friend, yes… but it matters to me. I love you, Guriya."
Her breath caught. "Casper… I'm not your type."
"I don't care," he said, stepping closer. "No one else matters. Just trust me."
Casper's intensity was overwhelming, but in that moment, Guriya realized that for the first time, she wasn't invisible to anyone.
