Quash was literally moving within 1 meter of the Barbarian but he couldn't hit Quash.
Quash was somehow avoiding them by doing impossible movements. Those impossible movements were just Quash exploiting his flexibility. His body was more flexible than normal humans'. That is something he got to know when he was training with the gym bros.
He didn't think much of it at that time but now that small thing became his cheat code. With Attribute Superimposition added in the mix, he could turn at angles so fast that is normally not possible.
