Magicians with this attribute could interact with the gaps between dimensions.
The imaginary space was like a dimensional pocket.
Objects inside it were unaffected by time or space.
During the Fifth Holy Grail War, Matou Sakura possessed this attribute.
In battles against Medea's puppet and Gilgamesh, Sakura's shadow absorbed attacks into imaginary space, nullifying them.
That was the power of Imaginary Number magecraft.
Even in the Fate series, this attribute was extremely rare.

Simply put:
Imaginary Numbers represented a dimension that shouldn't exist but does.

Mages with this attribute could use it like a time capsule or dimensional storage.
In other words, it had some similarities to spatial abilities, though not exactly the same.
But one thing was certain.
This was an extremely powerful magecraft attribute with enormous potential.
