Chapter 1 - Unnamed

From Broken Love to Unbreakable Success

The rain was falling slowly over the small town, washing the dusty streets and the broken dreams that lived there. Among those dreams lived a boy named Arjun.

Arjun was not rich. In fact, he had almost nothing. He lived in a tiny rented room with his mother. His father had passed away years ago, leaving behind only debts and responsibilities. Arjun studied hard during the day and worked part-time at a small tea stall at night to support his mother.

Life was never easy for him.

But there was one beautiful thing in his life.

Her name was Riya.

Riya was everything Arjun was not. She came from a wealthy family. Her father owned businesses, luxury cars, and a huge house in the center of the city. Yet somehow, fate brought Arjun and Riya together in college.

At first, they were just friends.

They studied together in the library, shared tea in the college canteen, and laughed at the smallest things. Slowly, friendship turned into love.

Riya would often say to him,

"Money doesn't matter to me, Arjun. I only want you."

Arjun believed her with all his heart.

For two years, they lived in their small world of dreams. Arjun promised her that one day he would become successful. Riya promised she would always stand beside him.

But life has a strange way of testing promises.

One evening, Arjun was waiting for Riya at their usual café. Hours passed, but she never came. His phone kept ringing unanswered.

The next day, he heard something that shattered his heart.

Riya had moved in with a rich businessman's son named Karan. Not only that — they were now in a live-in relationship in a luxury apartment in the city.

At first, Arjun refused to believe it.

But truth doesn't stay hidden forever.

One day he saw them together. Karan stepped out of a shining black car, wearing expensive clothes and sunglasses. Riya walked beside him, smiling.

Arjun stood far away on the roadside, holding the books he had bought with his hard-earned money.

In that moment, his world collapsed.

That night, Arjun cried like he had never cried before. The pain felt unbearable. The girl he loved had left him because he was poor.

But pain sometimes creates power.

Instead of destroying himself, Arjun made a decision.

He would prove that a man's worth is not measured by his bank balance.

That night he opened a notebook and wrote three words:

"IAS OFFICER – ARJUN."

From that day, his life changed.

Arjun stopped wasting time on sadness. He woke up at 4 AM every morning. He studied for hours. He read newspapers, practiced questions, and prepared for the toughest exam in India — the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Days became months.

Months became years.

Sometimes he felt exhausted. Sometimes he felt lonely. Sometimes the memories of Riya came back like a storm.

But every time he felt weak, he remembered the day she left him.

And he studied harder.

Finally, after years of struggle, the result day arrived.

Thousands of candidates were waiting anxiously for the list to be released.

Arjun opened the website with trembling hands.

His heart was beating fast.

Then he saw it.

AIR 27 – ARJUN SHARMA.

He had done it.

The poor boy who once worked in a tea stall had become an IAS officer.

News spread quickly in the town. Reporters came to interview him. People who once ignored him now respected him.

But fate had one more surprise waiting.

One day, during an official event in the city, Arjun stepped out of his government car wearing the crisp uniform of an IAS officer.

At the entrance of the building, he saw a familiar face.

It was Riya.

But she looked different now.

The confident smile was gone. Her eyes looked tired. The relationship with Karan had ended long ago, leaving her heartbroken and alone.

For a moment, time seemed to stop.

Riya looked at Arjun in shock.

The boy she once left because he was poor now stood before her as a powerful officer.

She slowly walked toward him and said softly,

"Arjun… I made the biggest mistake of my life."

Arjun looked at her calmly.

The pain in his heart had already turned into strength.

He simply smiled and replied,

"Thank you, Riya."

She looked confused.

"Thank me?"

Arjun nodded.

"Yes. If you had not left me that day, I might never have discovered how strong I could become."

Without saying anything more, he walked past her and entered the building.

Not with anger.

Not with revenge.

But with the quiet confidence of a man who had turned heartbreak into victory.

And sometimes, that is the greatest revenge of all.

Success.
