Chapter 2 - The Starfall Witch

The music started. Bright lights flashed across the stage, and the crowd cheered loudly. Mizuki smiled and began to sing, her voice clear and strong, filling the arena. She danced with energy, every move perfect, every step in rhythm.

Then, something strange happened. A bright light appeared in the sky above the stage. The audience gasped. It wasn't part of the show.

Mizuki's heart skipped a beat. She could feel magic pulling at her, stronger than anything she had felt before. The light grew bigger, then suddenly, a creature made of shadow and stars fell from the sky, crashing near the stage.

The crowd screamed and scattered in panic. But Mizuki didn't move away. She raised her hands, chains glowing with a blue star light, and whispered the words of her spell.

"Come… Star Chains!"

Chains shot out from her wrists, wrapping around the falling creature. It struggled, but Mizuki held it tight. Her eyes shone bright with determination.

"This… is only the beginning," she thought.

The concert had turned into a battle, and Mizuki, the Starfall Witch, was ready.

---

The shadow creature roared, shaking the stage. Sparks flew as it tried to break free from Mizuki's chains. But she didn't panic. She could feel the power of the stars flowing through her.

"Star Light Blast!" she shouted, raising her hands. A bright blue beam shot from her palms, hitting the creature and making it stumble.

The crowd screamed in awe and fear. Some ran, some froze, unsure what was happening. But Mizuki didn't care. She had a job to do.

The creature lashed out, its dark claws swinging toward her. Mizuki rolled to the side and swung her chains, wrapping it tightly again. Her chains glowed brighter, humming with magic.

"You won't hurt anyone tonight!" she yelled.

With a final push, the chains tightened and the creature let out a loud cry before vanishing into a shower of starlight. The stage was quiet again, the air still shimmering with magic.

Mizuki stood tall, her chest heaving. She looked at the cheering crowd and smiled, though her heart was pounding.

"This… this is only the beginning," she whispered to herself. "More will come. And I'll be ready."

---

Backstage, other idols were finishing their warm-ups. They had heard the loud crash and the strange roar from the stage.

"Did you hear that?" one of them whispered.

"I… I think something fell from the sky," another said, eyes wide.

They peeked out from behind the curtains and saw Mizuki standing on the stage. Her chains glowed bright blue, wrapping around nothing now, but her hair shimmered with a strange light.

"Is… she fighting something?" one idol asked in shock.

The crowd was still cheering, though some were scared. Mizuki waved her hand and smiled at them, hiding the fear and tension she felt. She couldn't let anyone panic.

Backstage, the idols looked at each other. Something strange was happening tonight, and they all felt it.

"We need to be careful," one said quietly. "This… isn't just a normal show."

Mizuki's eyes scanned the sky. She could sense more Starfall creatures coming. Her heart raced, but she was ready. She was the Starfall Witch, and she would protect everyone—no matter what.

---

Backstage, one of the idols, a girl with bright pink hair named Hana, stepped forward. Her eyes were wide, but she didn't run.

"I… I can help!" she called out. "I've trained with magic spells too!"

Mizuki's eyes widened in surprise. She had always worked alone, but now… maybe she didn't have to.

"Okay," Mizuki said firmly. "Follow my lead. Stay close and focus on your spells."

Hana nodded, gripping her wand tightly. She whispered a chant, and a soft pink light formed in her hands.

Another creature fell from the sky—bigger than the first. Its shadowy wings flapped wildly, dark energy spreading around it.

"Ready?" Mizuki asked. Hana nodded.

"Star Light Blast!" Mizuki shouted, firing a blue beam.

"Pink Star Shield!" Hana called, sending a glowing barrier in front of them. The creature's attack bounced off the shield.

Working together, their magic combined. Blue and pink lights mixed in the air, wrapping the creature in a dazzling glow. With a final push from Mizuki's chains, the creature vanished in a shower of sparkling starlight.

They both breathed heavily but smiled.

"We did it," Hana said, laughing. "That was amazing!"

Mizuki looked at her and nodded. "Yes… and this is just the beginning. There's more coming. But now, I'm not alone."

---

The music started again, but this time it felt different. The lights still flashed, and the crowd cheered, but there was a nervous edge in the air. Some fans whispered to each other, pointing at the sky.

Mizuki and Hana stood side by side on the stage, ready for whatever came next. They could feel —more Starfall creatures were coming.

Suddenly, a faint shimmer appeared above the arena. A small, glowing object fell slowly at first, then picked up speed. The crowd gasped and stepped back.

Mizuki gritted her teeth. "Hana, get ready. Another one's coming."

The object hit the stage with a loud crash, sending sparks everywhere. A new creature rose, bigger and darker than the last, its eyes glowing red.

Hana's shield glowed bright pink. "We can do this together!" she shouted.

Mizuki's chains whirled around her, shining blue. "Yes! Let's protect everyone!"

The two of them launched their magic at the creature. Blue and pink lights clashed with the darkness, filling the arena with color. Sparks flew, smoke swirled, and the crowd could only watch in awe and fear.

Even as they fought, Mizuki could see the stars in the sky moving strangely. This was no ordinary night. Something big was about to happen.

But she smiled under the lights. No matter what came next, she wouldn't run. She was the Starfall Witch, and she would protect her city—and her fans—with everything she had.

---

The arena fell silent for a moment, the music paused, and the lights flickered.

Then, a shadow bigger than anything Mizuki had seen before crashed through the roof. The creature's body was made of dark metal and glowing stars, its wings spreading wide, blotting out the lights above. Red eyes glowed like burning coals, and a deep roar shook the entire stage.

The crowd screamed and scrambled for safety. Staff shouted, but Mizuki didn't move. Hana stayed at her side, her wand ready, her shield glowing stronger than ever.

"This… is huge," Hana whispered.

Mizuki gritted her teeth. "We can't let it hurt anyone. Ready?"

Hana nodded.

"Star Chains!" Mizuki shouted. Chains shot out from her wrists, wrapping around the creature, but it was stronger than before, breaking free almost immediately.

The creature lunged at them. Hana raised her shield, barely stopping the blow. Sparks flew, and the stage shook.

"Keep it busy! I'll try something!" Mizuki yelled. She closed her eyes for a moment, feeling the stars' power coursing through her. A bright blue light surrounded her, glowing brighter and brighter.

"Starfall Burst!" she screamed, releasing a massive beam of star energy. It hit the creature head-on, and the ground trembled beneath the force.

The creature screeched and staggered, but it wasn't finished. Its red eyes glowed even brighter, and dark energy began to spread across the stage.

Mizuki looked at Hana, determination in her eyes. "We have to fight together. No matter what!"

Hana nodded, tightening her grip on her wand. The two of them stood side by side, glowing lights mixing in the dark.

This was only the beginning… but Mizuki knew one thing for certain: she was the Starfall Witch, and she would protect everyone—even if it meant risking everything.

---

The massive creature roared, its shadowy wings flaring as sparks flew across the stage. Mizuki and Hana fought with everything they had, blue and pink lights colliding with the dark energy.

Finally, Mizuki swung her chains with all her strength, wrapping the creature tightly. Hana's shield added extra power, holding it in place. With a loud crack, the creature stumbled back and fell into a crater of sparks on the stage.

The crowd gasped, some cheering, some frozen in fear. Staff slowly peeked out from backstage, realizing something incredible had just happened.

Mizuki fell to her knees, panting, her hands glowing faintly. Hana stood beside her, smiling shakily.

"We… did it… for now," Mizuki said, looking up at the night sky.

But far above, in the darkness between the stars, Mizuki could feel a stronger presence awakening. Something bigger. Something more dangerous.

Her heart clenched, but she straightened her chains and lifted her head.

"This… is only the beginning," she whispered. "The Starfall… isn't over. And I will be ready."

The night sky shimmered with countless stars. Somewhere out there, something waited… watching.

And Mizuki, the Starfall Witch, knew that her real battle was only just beginning.

***

Dear Diary,

Tonight… was nothing like I expected. The concert started just like any other, but then… the stars fell. A creature came crashing from the sky, bigger and stronger than anything I've faced before.

I was scared. My heart was pounding. But I couldn't let anyone get hurt. Hana helped me, and together we fought. The chains, the magic… it all worked. The creature is gone… for now.

I can still feel it in the sky. Something stronger is coming. I don't know when… or what it will be. But I will be ready.

Being the Starfall Witch isn't just about performing on stage anymore. It's about protecting people, even when I'm terrified. I've chosen this path, and I won't run from it.

The real battle is just beginning.
