Saber rubbed the back of his head.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Your bloodline ability, idiot."

Saber froze.

Then he nodded.

"Oh."

"Right."

"I was going to ask about that."

He raised one of his clawed hands.

Immediately, cyan energy gathered around it.

Ash narrowed his eyes.

The energy wasn't behaving like normal mana.

Smoke-like cyan flames appeared around Saber's claws.

However, they weren't actually flames.

The substance looked more like flowing liquid than fire.

The strange cyan energy moved around his arm like a living stream.

Aqua looked at it curiously.

"That's definitely not normal Water Magic."

Saber nodded.

"I know."

"I can create these slashes."

"And I can cover my claws with this stuff."

"But I have no idea what it actually does."

Ash stepped closer and carefully observed the energy.

His eyes suddenly turned rainbow-colored as he activated an ability connected to them.

Eye of Wisdom.

After reaching the Green Core stage, he had discovered that his eyes possessed a special ability that allowed him to see mana patterns and energy flows.

Raphael had later theorized that this was the innate ability of his rainbow-colored eyes.

Since he believed the eyes were connected to Raphael's influence, Ash had named the ability Eye of Wisdom.

The world around him immediately changed.

Countless streams of mana became visible.

He could see the energy flowing through Saber's body.

He could see the cyan power gathering around his claws.

He could even see the faint traces of elemental mana in the surrounding environment.

'Raphael, scan this for me and tell me everything about it,' Ash said mentally.

'Understood, Master,' Raphael replied.

The Ultimate Skill from the Slime Universe immediately began working.

Ash's rainbow eyes glowed faintly as information flooded into Raphael's calculations.

The strange cyan energy surrounding Saber was analyzed from every possible angle.

A few seconds later, Raphael spoke again.

'Analysis complete.'

Ash waited patiently.

'The bloodline ability appears to be a type of Aura.'

'Aura?' Ash asked mentally.

'Correct. It is not a spell and not an elemental ability.'

'It is a manifestation of Saber's life force, bloodline, and mana combined.'

'The cyan energy greatly enhances his cutting ability while reducing the resistance of whatever he attacks.'

'Simply put, it allows him to cut through objects far more easily than he normally should.'

Ash nodded.

'I see. So it's similar to Aura from other fantasy worlds.'

'That is an acceptable comparison,' Raphael replied.

Ash looked at Saber again.

The Kroxy was still proudly admiring his glowing claws.

Now that Ash understood the ability, he needed to explain it.

Unfortunately, explaining complex magical theories to Saber was often an adventure in itself.

Ash rubbed his forehead.

'There is another thing. This aura shouldn't be limited to just cutting,' he thought.

'He should be able to do much more with it.'

After a moment, Ash mentally compared it to something familiar.

'You can think of it like Haki from One Piece. Depending on how the user applies it, the same power can produce different effects.'

Raphael immediately responded.

'That is a reasonable comparison, Master.'

'My best guess is that Saber's mana organ was originally developing toward something similar to Origin Flames.'

Ash's eyes narrowed.

Origin Flames were among the most powerful abilities in Mogar.

'However, Origin Flames are essentially mana ignited by the spark of life force.'

'Aura appears to operate on a similar principle.'

'Both involve the fusion of mana and life force.'

Raphael continued her analysis.

'Most likely, due to Saber's preference for physical combat, his body developed a mana organ better suited to his natural talents.'

'Instead of creating Origin Flames, his body evolved toward Aura.'

Ash slowly nodded.

'So he might be becoming Mogar's first true fighting dragon.'

'That is highly probable,' Raphael replied.

'Unlike most magical beasts, his evolution appears focused on enhancing direct combat rather than spellcasting.'

Ash looked toward Saber.

The Kroxy was still proudly swinging his glowing claws through the air while Aqua watched with an expression that clearly said she regretted encouraging him to demonstrate his powers.

A small smile appeared on Ash's face.

'So it really is Aura.'

'Most likely,' Raphael confirmed.

'And if my analysis is correct, Aura should not be limited to claw attacks.'

Ash immediately understood.

'He should be able to shape it into different forms.'

'Correct.'

'Weapons.'

'Hammers.'

'Swords.'

'Spears.'

'Or simply reinforce parts of his body.'

'His scales, claws, wings, tail, or muscles.'

Ash nodded.

The more he thought about it, the more potential he saw.

In Saber's current state, the Aura naturally flowed into his claws because that was how he instinctively fought.

But there was no reason it had to remain that way forever.

Given enough practice, Saber could probably coat his entire body in Aura.

Or condense it into weapons.

Or even release it as ranged attacks.

'In Saber's case, the cutting effect is simply the first manifestation,' Raphael explained.

'As his bloodline develops, new applications should naturally appear.'

Ash smiled.

That was good news.

Very good news.

Because it meant Saber's growth wasn't over.

In fact, his evolution had only just begun.

"Which means in the future we might be able to obtain it too, right Raphael?" Ash asked mentally.

Raphael nodded.

"Yes, Master. However, don't forget that to achieve it, we would need to hunt down certain cursed artifacts, destroy the minds within them while preserving the bodies, and release the trapped souls contained inside."

She paused before continuing.

"If we fail to do that properly, we risk attracting the Guardians' attention. We would be violating the treaty regarding artifacts created through forbidden magic."

Ash immediately nodded.

"Of course. I'm not an idiot."

His plans had never changed.

"My goal is still to enter an academy, gain access to their libraries, and obtain books from every magical discipline."

"You can store all of that information, and then we can develop our own path to power."

Ash glanced toward the distant lake.

"As for the weapons, Blackstar remains the best target."

"He is only a few hundred years old compared to the truly ancient beings of Mogar."

"That means his artifacts should still be of relatively high quality by modern standards."

Raphael agreed.

"And we only need his body."

"We already possess something far more valuable."

"Me."
