Suicune, Entei, and Raikou. These three Pokémon were Ho-Oh's emissaries in the mortal realm, each bearing their own responsibilities. However, the moment Ash returned, they sensed the presence of a second Ho-Oh.
"Suicune?" (Lord Ho-Oh?)
"Entei!" (How can there be a second one?!)
"Raikou!" (Let's go check it out!)
And just like that, the three Sacred Beasts of the Johto region, sensing the presence of Ho-Oh, immediately began sprinting toward the Kanto region. And the true Ho-Oh of Ash's world also mobilized.
Meanwhile, on Ash's side...
"Ash!!! Please! Stop messing with this old man's heart! I can't take it anymore!"
Professor Oak was literally crying at this point. Meanwhile, on the video call, Ash leisurely carved the turkey and handed a piece to Green.
Hearing her grandfather's words, Daisy really wanted to point out who had just claimed their heart was "toughened up." But seeing her grandfather in tears, she decided not to kick him while he was down. After all...
Looking at the Ho-Oh lying on the medical bed beside Ash, the corner of Daisy's eye twitched slightly. Her fiancé was way too good at causing trouble...
Ash casually explained to Professor Oak and the others how he went to rescue Green, encountered a mind-controlled Ho-Oh, and how they all teamed up to defeat it.
"Just like I said, Ho-Oh needs medical treatment now. I contacted you all because I need your help. After all, treating Ho-Oh's injuries requires a lot of hands..."
"No problem!!!"
Before Ash could even finish, almost all the Professors roared their agreement simultaneously, startling him.
"Oh, that's great. I won't bother you then..."
"You're not bothering us at all!!! We'll be right there!!!"
Looking at the intensely eager Professors, Ash nodded blankly. "Alright then. I'll go contact Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy. Oh, and any big shots I can reach. After all, Ho-Oh's injuries will take a massive group effort to heal."
"Good! Hurry!"
Getting yelled at by the Professors almost made Ash's knife slip. Exasperated, he muttered, "Jeez... what's with all the yelling..." He then added, "Daisy, you should hurry over too. I have someone here who needs to take a group photo with us."
Hearing Ash, Daisy paused. "Someone who needs to take a group photo?"
"Yeah. You'll know when you get here. Consider it compensation for him screwing me over. Anyway, I'm off to notify Jenny. See you when you get here, Daisy."
After Ash closed the call, Daisy fell into thought. Someone who needs to take a group photo? Who could it be? Why do I get the feeling I don't have enough hearts for this...?
Not long after, from both the Jenny family and the Joy family—and even the Giovanni household—the sound of people spitting out their drinks echoed, followed by furious roars.
"All high-ranking Jennys, bring your strongest partners and follow me to Ash's place immediately!!!"
"All high-ranking Joys, bring your best medical partners and let's go!!!"
And over at Giovanni's...
"All high-ranking operatives who are still breathing, get to Ash's location immediately!!! I MEAN EVERYONE!!!"
You couldn't blame Giovanni for getting so worked up. What had he just seen on the call?! That girl Ash was casually feeding turkey to... wasn't that his long-lost daughter, Green?!
"Ash! You really are my lucky star! HAHAHAHAHA! I finally found her! HAHAHAHA!!!"
Giovanni was laughing so maniacally that tears streamed down his face. Persian and Beedrill completely understood. They knew their old friend's family was finally going to be whole again.
In the Unova region. Elesa had just finished a Gym battle and was about to rest when a group of Continental Hotel staff rushed over urgently. "Madam, the Boss has requested you use the Continental Hotel's sub-space teleportation brick to come to him immediately! He has an incredibly important matter!"
Elesa paused. "Ash is looking for me? And it's urgent?"
"Yes!"
"Is it really that urgent? Alright, let's go."
Elesa was surprised Ash had something so urgent, so she skipped resting and hurried to the Continental Hotel. Similar scenes were playing out with Yellow, Diantha, Cynthia, Lorelei, Tomo, Karen, Cassandra, Violet, and Lusamine.
Those farther away were all invited over as "Madams" by the Continental Hotel staff. Ash's mother, Delia, and Rin were also brought over. And in Kalos, a certain girl received an invitation as well.
When everyone connected to Ash arrived at the Sasaki estate via the sub-space teleportation bricks and private cars, they finally understood why Ash had called them all in such a hurry.
"Isn't that Ho-Oh?!"
Looking at the Ho-Oh resting in the medical pod, Lusamine and the others were utterly speechless. Ash, who was examining Ho-Oh's injuries, turned around.
"Oh. You guys are here. Great, now we can have that guy take a picture with us."
"Wait... you said take a picture?" Lusamine interrupted him. She thought they had been called over to see Ho-Oh, but apparently not!
Ash simply called out to the empty air beside him, "You can show yourself now. We just need to take the picture."
"Well, alright... But a group photo, huh? How fascinating."
As Arceus's figure slowly materialized, Cynthia froze. She looked at Ash and asked, "Um... is this Arceus?"
"Yeah. I got screwed over by this guy and had to help heal an alternate-world Ho-Oh, so his payment is taking a group photo with us."
Staring at Arceus, Lusamine felt dizzy and almost collapsed. Fortunately, Ash caught her just in time. "Honey, are you okay? Why are you reacting exactly like Professor Oak?"
Hearing Ash, Lusamine grabbed his collar and demanded, "Did you do something incredibly dangerous again?! Even Arceus is here! I swear, I will take you down with me, Ash!!!"
Seeing Lusamine going slightly crazy, Ash tried to console her. "It wasn't me! Really, it wasn't me this time! He came to me! Plus, without his help, it would have been really hard to find Green."
"Then what about Ho-Oh?!"
"Well, I kind of beat it up..."
CHOMP!
"Ahhh! Don't bite my head, honey! Don't do this!"
Gladion watched in speechlessness as his adoptive mother used Bite on his adoptive father's head.
Lillie was doing a bit better; she was observing Ho-Oh. Elesa, Karen, and the others were doing the same.
While Lusamine was gnawing on Ash's head, Daisy walked over and said, "Ash, please don't scare Grandpa like that next time. He actually passed out from shock..."
Thinking about how her grandfather had fainted from over-excitement upon seeing Ho-Oh, Daisy felt a headache coming on, even though she completely understood his reaction.
Amidst the chaotic clamor, a blonde girl walked in timidly. "Um... is Ash here?"
Seeing the girl, Ash smiled. "Right here, Serena. We were just waiting for you. Come, let's take the group photo."
The girl who had just arrived was Serena, the girl Ash had known since childhood.
